Scottish Fantasy is a dependable performer in Zone 6b southern Kentucky. It was below zero last winter but Scottish Fantasy came back just as strong as ever. I have had this plant for 4 years, it has never failed to be beautiful.

I have very high expectations for 'Scottish Fantasy'. I purchased this plant from G.H. Wild and planted it along with Irish Envy: Both of these plants are not listed as being rust resistant, and I planted them along with four or five rust resistant daylily varieties. Sure enough both of these two "not listed as rust resistant" plants later in the year became infected with rust. But, the rust was not overly distractive on either plant. A few of the rust resistant plants also showed signs of rust, but to a lesser degree.
'Scottish Fantasy' became the strongest looking plant in that group, it was planted on March 19 2015 and had its first bloom on May 19 2015. Very pretty, clear, bright and sizeable blooms on a very attractive plant. The plant continued to grow, and later in the season I moved both 'Scottish Fantasy' and 'Irish Envy' into a different bed in order to add new rust resistant varieties and keep that bed reserved for only rust resistant plants.
The move did not seem to stunt the impressive growth rate of 'Scottish Fantasy' and the rust has been handled by the plant really well, and it became less obvious on the plant and did not continue to progress in severity.
I was very impressed with the performance of this plant in it's first season in my garden and it showed signs of being a bud builder as well. So I will have high expectations next spring for this plant to be an outstanding performer with lots of blooms and a long blooming period.

This morning Scottish Fantasy was not blooming, so I pulled the 17 dead scapes from the plant. The scapes only averaged 24 inches in height, with 2 way branching and only 8 buds per scape. This plant tends to get rusty during the season. The good part is that it now has 10 rebloom scapes showing on it. No bloom to measure on it, but they have been a little smaller this year than in previous years and not as showy for some reason. Maybe the rebloom scapes on it now will produce some larger blooms.
Clump this morning with rebloom scapes.

Bloom from earlier date:The blooms seem to have gotten progressively paler for the past three years.

This is an amazing performer for me. Great bud count and fans multiply quickly. Bright clear color. I would definitely recommend for northern zones.

Has reliable Moldovan vigor. Color to me is not particularly exciting but is clear, and the plant blooms freely.

This plant's first year here. Not as tall as registered. An acceptable number of crisp, clear blooms. I think this one will be impressive once it's more established.

I have Scottish Fantasy in two locations. The older plant ( from 2018) is doing beautifully. The plant in the front bed is not as happy ( but nothing in that front bed is truly happy... I have to work on that). The plant in the back is strong, floriferous with a great color. It just looks healthy. Not super tall but a medium/ short plant is fine in that location ( by the path).

Update 2021. It turns out that I have three clumps of Scottish Fantasy. One in the Front Bed, One in Upper Bed and one in the Fence Bed. Between the three of them, SF bloomed from June 27 to August 18. That makes this cv E/M/L

Scottish Fantasy blooms in a wide range of colors. From magenta, coral, pink through many ranges in between. The flower itself has consistently good form and is a strong plant.

2023 update…more of the same for Scottish Fantasy. Between the three clumps, I had bloom from July 12 to August 17, a good run around here.
