I decided to start a new thread for November because I have two daylilies that are either blooming now or will be next week. I hope some others here have the good fortune to have some blooming as well!

Zoe Allegra appears to have some diamond dusting on her petals that I had not noticed when looking at the blooms.:

Marilyn Morss Johnson will be blooming later this coming week. Will post photos when she does.

Marilyn Morss Johnson bloomed her first bloom for me today. This recently acquired double fan came from Maryott's (with Zoe Allegra) on September 25, 2015. Always terrific to see blooms shortly after planting a daylily! I was very happy to see this lovely lady bloom her first bloom for me today!

Big Grin I couldn't agree more, Char!!!

Well, Marilyn Morss Johnson has 1 scape. It is 13-14" tall, probably due to having it's foliage cut back and then shipped and transplanted in my raised bed recently. But this scape has 10 buds on it. The first 2 blooms were 7". I was quite pleased with that measurement. Ten buds/blooms is pretty impressive to me under the circumstances!

Zoe Allegra has 2 scapes about 12" tall with 4 buds/blooms on one scape and 5 buds/blooms on the other scape.

I think once both of these cultivars get established, they will be real show stoppers during bloom season. And I am sure the scapes will be much taller in the future, too.

I wished I had some way to save the pollen. I need to purchase some 1.5ml centrifuge tubes and a box to hold them in the freezer. I sure wish I had a way to save the pollen on both plants. Unfortunately, I only have 1 bud left to bloom on ZA and 8 more on MMJ.

Becky, next season when things heat up for you, you can look forward to many different faces on 'Zoe Allegra'. Here are a few ways she bloomed for me - sorry the photos are blurry...

Judy - I had no idea she would throw a pattern on those sweet blooms! Thank you for sharing your photos.

Here is another photo taken today of 2 Marilyn Morss Johnson blooms. I love, love, love this bloom! BUT ... it is looking like it is VERY rust susceptible. Sad Will use the pollen in my breeding program for the pretty face and cross it with some highly resistant tets. I hate when that happens..... She may have to go but I can't part with her yet .... just got her.

2 blooms this morning:

I didn't think this bloom on NOCTURNAL BUTTERFLY would open due to the cold weather we have been having, but it did. The colors are not quite a rich as they will be on subsequent blooms, and it didn't quite open completely, but I'm not complaining because I've never ever had a bloom in November or October.
