Are you sure they are native? Many mixes are not if native to their areas being used great but if not scary

You are right, some components may not be native and cause problems.

I have not had problems with these, but perhaps in other zones there may be components which are harrnful to the environment.

I like shopping at Prairie Moon, too! I never buy mixes, though because I'm just too particular with my plants. I guess if I had more land and I needed to cover a large area, I would consider it.

They do post a list of what is in the mixes.

Yeah, but there's always some I would want and some I wouldn't in the mix. So I stick to the single species packs.

I do single species too.
The mixes give me a chance to see what will take here in zone was 3, now 4a.

You know I don't like the site that you are recommending for two reaons:
1. They do not sell by weight, but rather by what they think covers a certain area.
2. I would not want all those grass seeds in my mixes.

The reason they have more grasses then forbs is to be historically accurate. The tall grass prarire one on the most endangered ecosystems on the planet was historically 1/3 flowers
