I've had GET JIGGY for a few years now and until this year I never saw any sort of eye pattern. It always looked like this:

And then the very first bloom this year looked like this:

YEA!!!

But no other blooms this year looked like that -- and yet I'll keep it because it's a good plant and sets pods -- and I will always hope to see that pattern again someday!

I got GJ this summer from an ebay seller. I pot planted for a few weeks and then planted in a garden with several other new cultivars. The plant grew quickly from two fans to four, but then it got hit with the dreaded rust. It was near another new plant from a
California grower and everything around it contracted rust. Get Jiggy was hit hard and dwindled away to nearly nothing, but I'm hoping it will rebound in the spring.

I have had Get Jiggy since 2013. It grows to registered height and bloom size. It shows some pattern on most blooms. Best bud count to date is 14. I am hoping it will increase as it clumps up. It is both pod and pollen fertile. I have several seedlings I look forward to seeing.

Love what you teach and teach what you love!

I got GET JIGGY two years ago and it has flowered late October or early November. It does not die back in the colder months and acts like an evergreen. Unfortunately I didn't notice the cereals from the bird seed feeder had overgrown the clump this year. Even so, it has been forgiving and flowered well despite the mashed clump. The pattern on the blooms is nearly always there. I have not attempted to hybridise with it. It is susceptible to rust and I would rate it 3.5.

I have had Get Jiggy since 2010. The first 2 years, it showed no pattern at all. The third year was a charm and its lovely pattern was there, although I don't think it has ever looked as good as the hybridizers picture of it. I haven't checked bud count but seems to be fairly close to the stats. It is both pod and pollen fertile and is a reliable plant that does well in my climate. Increase is slow on it but that's fine with me. I plan on keeping this one.

I planted it this past spring so will have to give it several years to see if it will show the pattern. I had read that it did well for some northern gardens, so decided to give it a try.

I have Get Jiggy at the top of my want list for 2016 but I will be very disappointed if the blooms don't show the pattern. Now perhaps I need to find something similar. I am so happy I found ATP where I feel I can get honest opinions.

Get Jiggy hardly ever makes a pattern for me. This year.

I acquired 3 fans of this cultivar at the end of September 2015 and it was transplanted into a new raised bed the beginning of October 2015. This raised bed gets at least 6 hours of sun. It is planted near to the front of the concrete wall of the raised bed. I have to confess that it has been a disappointment since receiving it. It has yet to bloom for me.

It is currently down to 2 small fans each producing a single new leaf. It reminds me of a dormant plant that is starting to grow again, but it is an evergreen. I thought I was going to lose it this year because it has failed to thrive. It gets watered and fertilized regularly. I have no idea why it is doing so poorly. I may try lifting it to see if that helps.
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us.

This year, contrary to my statement here last year, GET JIGGY died right down in the colder months. It is now sprouting long leaves again in spring.

I purchased Get Jiggy in the Fall of 2020 from Pat Ball. It went into my new Patio bed. This Spring, I decided to add some more fans from Greywoods. I now have at least four fans, unless it's added a few.

My original cv bloomed this summer from June 28 through July 27th. None of the flowers were all that exciting, although most of them showed a pattern. But they were mostly blotchy and weird. The Greywoods fans were about to bloom when they were grazed by a lost buck, who did a ton of damage in my yard.

Hopefully next year, they will both have had enough time to settle in and make some nice blooms.

I have had Get Jiggy about 5 years now. It grows well, reaches height expected, not nearly the expected bud count. I am OK with bud counts in the teens, but would be nice if it did better. The 1st couple of years I did not see a pattern at all, but the last couple it has had patterns quite often. Usually on mornings when temps are a bit cooler. Not a spectacular bloom without the pattern, but I still find it pleasing.

2022 update…much better bloom ( no deer to eat it!),has grown to 6 fans. Get Jiggy bloomed from July 6-26 with 28 blooms. Even though the plants around it were rusty, GJ did not show any signs.

For the first 12 days, Get Jiggy showed a pattern on every flower. After the 18th, when the weather heated up, there were no more patterns. It's also possible that the later flowers were from the newer fans that were planted a year ago. So, the jury is still out if it's cooler weather or maturity that produces the pattern.

Hardly ever a pattern here, and to me the base color was muddy and ugly.

My Get Jiggy was purchased from Willie's Daylilies in Lawrenceburg, TN, in late May of 2022. The plant was a purchased as a small single fan.

We had a bitter cold snap in December 2022 that damaged many of my existing plants and trees... It was so much colder than usual- and dropped quickly. What a pleasant surprise to see this plant make it through- the first scape of the 2023 was very short- but there were three scapes over-all for the year and they produced lovely blooms. The colors were vibrant but did not have the chevron markings- we will see what 2024 brings in the way of patterns. Of note- the blooms were decidedly upturned... not sure what this means in the daylily world, but it was striking in appearance.

Since this thread is up, I'll do my annual accounting now.

Get Jiggy started April with 10 fans but was down to 8 by October. It bloomed from July 8-22, I counted 29 flowers. The flowers were all patterned from July 8-15, losing the pattern from the 16-22. Again, probably the result of cooler weather earlier and hotter weather later. The base color is variable, some days a deep rose, some days a lighter mauve, it tends to be brighter in cooler weather.
