I'm torn about participating in judging. There are just so many wonderful fabulous shots! Having to narrow it down to just three really bums me out. I realize it is a contest, I just don't think I'm cut out to be a "judge"

Don't over-think it. Star all the ones you like and then when you proceed, just grab the three that strike you at the moment. Smiling

Have no fear. Each of us judges differently. Some folks are looking for excellent examples of photos, perfectly in focus, great composition, while others just select their favorite flowers. It will all average out in the end and we will have lovely, happy winners. Thumbs up

One image that brought a big smile to my face was in the 'vegetables and fruit' category...the fox running off with the apple. Hurray!

I'm thoroughly enjoying gazing at the many, many beautiful photos that have been entered into this years contest and voting for my favorites! I haven't gotten all the way through the categories yet but the most difficult for me so far was Trees/Shrubs! LOL, I was wanting to ask if Dave would let me give up my vote in other categories just to have more votes in that one. Not far behind in my favorites was the Landscape/Garden category; photo after photo had me daydreaming and wishing I could visit those beautiful gardens and areas of the country/countries!

When I got to the "Container" category, a few of the subject containers really made me smile; even without plants or flowers, they are containers so they did fit the category. Green Grin!

I don't know much about photo composition, lighting etc., I just select the photos that "say" something to me and it's very difficult to narrow it down to just three favorites! I have an appointment to head out to shortly but I'll get back to viewing and voting for the remainder of the categories this afternoon!

Landscape/gardens was the most difficult for me. I wanted to give credit to truck gardens over all but eventually just went with what made me happy when I looked at it. I really NEEDED six votes in that one.

I too had a chuckle over a couple of the containers. Smiling

One thing I wished for was captions or identifications. I voted for something in the Vegetable category that I had no idea what it was, except that it was a very beautiful flower.

It really was hard to choose just 3 from each category! The hardest category for me was the bugs and birds! There are some really wonderful photos in this group. It's nice to be involved in the voting on here. There are some beautiful blooms to think about adding to my gardens!

If the photographer added a caption it will appear after the voting.
If it will be like last year, after the voting has finished there will be the opportunity to start a discussion on any photo, both to congratulate the winners and ask questions . I too saw a few plants I did not recognize and am curious.

Congratulations to everyone who entered because I agree....you all are winners! Thumbs up

I enjoyed going through all the beautiful pnotos and voting, although it was difficult to narrow my favorites down to 3 in each category. It made the choosing a little difficult that the photos are of very different sizes and having to scroll down and up again was a bit time consuming. I am looking forwards to the results. Hurray!

It's TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard! I'm hating myself for dumping fabulous photos. Not fair!
