Becky, I know you've told us in the past which program or website you used to make the slide show, but I can't remember. I only had one seedling bloom this year, so my slide show wouldn't actually slide Whistling , but I'd love to create something like this for my daylilies. Can you tell us what you used again?

Nice white edging on some of the pinks! Thumbs up A few nice near-whites, too!

I liked that first poly better than your small avatar one on the headline page - better color, and the tepals on the 4x4 form are not as crowded as on the 5x5, so it just looks better. (Yeah, form on polys is tough... you don't wanna see the poly seedling I saw this summer! Whistling )
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom

Thank you to each of you! I am so glad that all of you enjoyed the slideshow. It surely helps one to anticipate Spring after a long period of no daylily blooms!

Karen & Glen - LOL! I didn't even count how many photos were in the slideshow. I had many more seedling blooms, but those in the slideshow were the best from 2015. I have a good 50+ more seedlings that haven't bloomed for the first time yet. Probably will bloom this Spring. I have over 300 seedlings currently. And will be starting more seeds over the holiday break from work. I started off with seedling daylilies and that's all I had for about 4 - 5 years. It's become a bit of an obsession, I fear. And then this time last year, I acquired my very first named and registered daylilies. I now have 49 registered daylilies, the rest are all seedlings that are growing in various raised beds and borders around my front and backyard. I have a standard residential lot. Not acreage.

Regina - Thank you! I was pleasantly surprised to see a few toothy seedlings. Next year they should be even better. I have been told that by year 3 of blooms, they should become stable and I will know what I really have.

Polymerous - Thank you! Doubles are new to me and I am finding out what form looks best. But ... beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some that I didn't care for other people really liked! Confused Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

Natalie - I believe there are a number of free slide show creators online, but I usually buy programs for different types of projects. I am really into photography and videos. I create videos of and for my granddaughters all the time and also take a lot of garden photos that I use in my slideshows.

My favorite video creating/editing program is Cyberlink's "Power Director". I have the older version 11. It is now up to version 14 and is on sale for the holidays: http://www.cyberlink.com/stat/...

Cyberlink also has a user website where other members create special effects that you can download and use in your own videos. So I download a lot of those for free as well. This program offers the option to make slideshows and I can add music to them as well. YouTube has royalty free music on their website that I download and use in many of my videos. This YouTube video tells you how to access and use the music:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

I use my Scrapbook Factory Deluxe Program to make most of the intro & credits pages in the slideshows and also for my videos. And I use that program to also make creative photo pages that I use in my videos/slide shows or for Snapfish or Shutterfly photo books that I make and give as gifts to family members when they run excellent sales from time to time. I burn DVDs and slideshow CDs all the time for the granddaughters.

Power Director and Scrapbook Factory Deluxe are my two most favorite and most used programs that I have actually purchased (both programs came in CD format).

Scrapbook Factory Deluxe: http://www.novadevelopment.com...

I don't really buy any other programs. These are my two "go to" programs for videos and photos. Most cameras now take video as well as still snap shots. So having a video editing program was a priority for me.

Sorry to be so long winded about all that information. I just love doing something creative with my videos and photos and don't mind sharing how I do it. Thumbs up

Hi Becky...VERY nice! If you ever decide to cull any because they aren't meeting your rust resistance requirements, please let me know. I see a few I wouldn't mind using for hybridizing, there are some really nice ones! Rolling my eyes.

Do you have parentage on any of them in your slideshow? When will your bloom season be starting? So much for you to look forward to!

Sandi - Thank you! Some of those were grown from YOUR seeds!!! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Thumbs up

I haven't made the choice to cull any yet, but I will certainly keep you in mind since you don't mind a possible rust prone seedling. Where you are, the Winter would kill the rust anyway, unlike down here in the south where rust survives year round. Most are single fan babies, except for the ones in the front yard border whose parentage I don't know (and I am positive some of those came from your seeds from several years ago).

Karen - If I am counting/guessing correctly, you really liked these two:

CCC66: This one had a VERY short scape it's first year blooming. It only produced 2 blooms and they both looked the same. I am hoping this coming Spring it gets it's act together and produces a taller scape and more blooms. I agree that the bloom is very nice.
Thumb of 2015-12-09/beckygardener/8c305d

And this double (which has Dragonfly Dawn as the pollen parent and Laura Mast as the pod parent):
ZZZ73: This one produced ALL doubles on it's first year blooming. BUT ... it only produced a few blooms. Hopefully next Spring it will be settled in enough to really show me what it can do!
Thumb of 2015-12-09/beckygardener/a3ee5f

I have read that it takes 3 years to really see what a hybrid is going to look like, so I have 2 more years to go with these 2 seedlings.

Thank You! for sharing! Your slide show got me so excited about my seeds. I hope I get some seedlings from them as nice and pretty as some of yours. I have got some crosses that I just can't wait to see their flowers.
