I guess I don't understand. I saw a notice that said I am currently "showing 0 items available for swap". I added 6 or 7 items to my swap list. What am I doing wrong? that it would say I don't have any items available for swap?

No worries @HoosierHarvester! It took awhile for people in the Beta swap (me included) to figure this out. Once you add an item to the swap (make it public and ready for swapping) you then need to go back in your swap list and click on the little check mark by the name of the seed you listed. It should turn green. Only items with the green check are considered available to be swapped.

Cross posted! Oops!

Kayleigh, I was actually going to mention this to you yesterday or the day before and I don't know why I didn't. I'm sorry. *Blush* when I saw you signed up and that you didn't have any seeds showing, I meant to let you know that, as Elena and Jim have said, you have to mark the varieties as 'really ready' by making them green. If its grey, that's only 'slightly ready' according to the system. As mentioned, it was an issue in the beta swap, too, so don't feel the least bit embarrassed, there is definitely a learning curve to entering items to the swap. Smiling

I have a lot of seeds of odds and ends I will only grow a few of , If you will click on my name , go to my plant list ,, Then add anything there to your wish or want list on the swap thread about that , I will try to add the seeds if I have them
Also I have a mix of cucumber seeds , white , Green , Blonde ,,
Because , these have about reached their viability limit , from purchase , I am offering them
Mix is so you will get a fair amount of seeds ,
I will add a few hand sorted , of the seed makers that I keep , sort of pale green mostly .
Just add Cucumber Mix to your wish list on the wants page ,,

It seems to be a really really good setup for this type of swaps; so far as I can see anyway. Because I can go back and turn the "green" light off at any time, and that's very simple. Thanks!

Hi @DogsNDaylilies

I didn't find Siletz (yet).

I have two samples of Black Cherry Tomato from 2009 and 2010. I could split both and offer 15-20 seeds of each. But those are oldish seeds.

I do have commercial Chocolate Cherry, probably from 2012 or 2013. 30 seeds per trade.
http://t.tatianastomatobase.co...

I also have one lonely pkt of 'Black Pearl' cherry tomato, F1, Burpees 2010, 10 seeds, mid-season, brownish-red with green shoulders.

When I have time, maybe over Christmas break, I'll count pkts and add them to my swap list.

For anyone interested in daylily seeds: I think I have over 200 crosses which is way too many to list. Have a look at my plant list and if you see a daylily that interests you let me know. I'll look up all the crosses that I have and you can pick the one you want and I'll list it. I didn't start saving seed until 2013 and only seriously started making crosses this year so none of my seed is too old.

I will say that some of my daylilies don't set seed (Malihini & Francis of Assisi for starters) and others haven't bloomed in two years (Choral Fantasy) so I don't have crosses for all of my daylilies. But these are in the minority.

@jimard8 I definitely have some late bloomers from Olallie that I crossed. Since they aren't registered they aren't in my plant database. I typically don't even think of listing them because I heard they only do well in cold climates. I'll be happy to add some to my swap list for you.

I also have some registered mid-late bloomers that I crossed. Any color preference? I don't have any fancy or really frilly stuff for the later blooming plants but I love them anyway because they really extend my blooming season.

Hey everyone! New to this forum and swap so hopefully I figure this site out!! Not sure how I stumbled upon this one but excited none the less! (I think GW on Houzz) I'm updating my list and I have to say I love it so far!! One question though, how do you add something that isn't in the database? I have a few things that I can't find on search but it won't let me add them to my plant list. Thanks.

Welcome! to ATP! If you are trying to add plants to your plant list, then you can't add them since the plant list is based on the plant database. But if you are adding plants to you seed swap list, go to the seed swap home page and click on the link that says manage your own swap list. Then at the top of the page click on "add a new item to your swap list". You can now type in what ever you want in the box next to "What plant is this".

@bxncbx , I will likely be putting in 1-2 packets of organic red or purple carrots, so keep an eye out! Unfortunately, it will be a small quantity because I just purchased them for myself for the spring, but I can definitely spare a few. Smiling
