And here I am happily toasting this event as well. Ursula, is this a big one? In any event, salud and feliz cumpleanos. I could also put it in Indonesian, Salmat hari natal.

I knew we were six months apart but forgot which one of us was the older. I hope you feel as well as I do at this stage of life. I must tell you that we are fortunate to have you as our moderator as well as our mentor. Most of you don't know this but back several years ago when I first posted an orchid picture on Dave's Garden, Ursula, Kathy and Laurel were there to serve as my mentors. A million pictures later, she is still here to help us all.

Happy Birthday Chris! Smiling

I am touched!! I enjoy our Orchid forum, what's not to love, talking with friends about our favorite things! Thumbs up
Jim, I do feel great, I make sure I exercise regularly and that helps a lot. I bought an Apple Watch in August ( After my little Fit bit zip "died"on me) and I find those devices really help in tracking your exercise. You set weekly goals and see the daily progress right on your wrist. Walking plenty helps!

Happy birthday to you too, Chris. I agree so much on the exercise. Also had a FitBit that fell off my wrist and is lost. But DH got me another one for Xmas, better model with heart rate and other features, and a buckle strap. They really are a good incentive to move more. I look forward to tracking how many steps I take in a day, and trying to log more. I also really like the sleep monitoring feature and was amazed at how many times I was waking up in a night!

I have the FB Charge HR and I love how the fireworks go off when I have done my 10,000 steps.

Fire works? I like that!!
Btw knitters and crocheters - did I mention that a couple of hours spent with some wool also adds steps/miles.... I might sit down in the evening having clocked 10 000 steps and then it tells me that I added with crochet or knit another 2000!! Makes sense, you do move your wrist! Smiling

Rolling on the floor laughing
I have the vivifit thing from Garmin...you can go swimming with that one..
and some days on the boat , I would be lucky to get 350 steps in a day..
If I had 'pumped the head' with my left hand...I might have gotten it up to
1000....but certainly nothing earning fireworks status!
