Life is "mind over matter". If I d
What does one have to do to add a favorite flower or a multi-plant photo that are often
shown in the Newsletter? I have quite a few I like a lot.
How do you choose the ones that get posted? Is there some kind of voting done?

Also--adding a picture to the Plant Files? What is the procedure there?

I am trying hard to get more familiar with ATP after having spent many years on DG.

Thanks, Gita

Hi Gita! Good to see you over here.

I don't know about the newsletter. My guess is that Trish picks them out, but there may be some process like "the ones that get the most thumbs".

First, find the entry for that particular plant in the Plant Database. If it's a generic ID, there are often "Parent Plant" entries that stand for any plant in that genus, or of that type. You can just search for the entire name, or enter part of the name and then scroll through the list looking for your particular plant.

I that Plant database Admins review photos before adding them, if you wonder about the ID. Or you could ask on the Plant ID forum whether they agree with you ID.

Once you have the database entry up that you want to add a photo to:

Now look at the left-hand edge of the screen while you scroll down or Page Down.

Scroll past the blue "menu bar" until you get to the white bock titled: "Adding Actions:"

Click on ยป Upload a photo

On the screen that comes up, read the info box, then click "Upload an Image".

That brings up a box that lets you browse to the folder on your PC where the image is stored. Select that image.

Then there is probably an "OK" or "Done" button.

To upload a multi-plant photo, look to the left-hand edge, blue "menu bar".

Click the ninth item down, "Goodies".

On this screen: "All Things Plants Apps", click on the fourth item:
"Multi-Plant Photos - Share photos of your garden and name each plant shown."

The next screen is: "Multi-Plant Images"
Click on "Add a Multi-Plant Image"
Click on "Click to Upload an Image".
Browse to the folder on your PC that you want to upload a multi-plant photo from.

Then I think it gets trickier since you have to draw rectangles and enter names of plants somehow.
