I've been looking for 2 older cultivars and am coming to a dead end. Nurseries that had them no longer seem to be in business. So .... I am hoping someone here can give me a lead.

These are 2 that I am currently interested in:

Joie De Vivre:
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Joie De Vivre')

Antique Rose:
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Antique Rose')

Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Using your post as a starter, or maybe just starting a new thread. I would be interested in knowing how many others would love to have a thread where you post what plants you are looking for and can't find. Or even a more common problem, you have several on your want list and can only find one at each vendor and the freight is more than the daylily. Maybe that would lead to a good sell and swap site for daylilies? I can see this might be suited for the Classified and Group buys, but I was thinking a "Daylily Want Thread" might be more effective. I guess it could also be inclusive of a "Daylily Don't Want" thread. Someone's trash is always someone else's treasure.

I had already emailed Cheryl's Daylilies and they are not receiving emails. My email bounced back saying their email does not exist. I think the website is an old website that is still hanging around on the internet. So .... Still looking for leads.

Yes, anyone feel free to post any daylily cultivars that you are looking for on this thread. That might be a very good idea to have a dedicated thread for locating cultivars.

I just hope my initial search doesn't get lost on this thread.

Larry - I also did find that other email address and sent her an email. Will see if she replies back to me. The lack of consistency on their website concerned me. The initial website Home Page is written from 2014. Makes me wonder if something has changed or happened. I want to do business with a nursery I feel confident about. So am waiting to see if they email me back.

It would be ideal to get both of these cultivars from the same seller. It would save on the mailing expense. These are older cultivars and any prices I've seen listed are in my frugal price range. Fingers crossed.

I ordered from her I think twice last year, and everything was fine. Just the web site is not professionally done or updated (my opinion). I was very pleased with the plants, and she was very friendly on the phone, and was super nice to work with.

Larry - Thank you for following up on my dilemma with so much information and details. And thank you for the review of Cheryl Daylilies. I also checked the Green Pages here on ATP and see that @kidfishing and @joy both received plants from them as well. So .... I am hopeful that this will work out. I would love to have both cultivars if the price is within my budget .... my lousy frugal budget. (Sure wished I'd hit that Florida Lotto!!!)

Karen - As always, you are so gracious and generous. You've already shared Big Snowbird with me, I can't ask you again. I don't feel right about that. AND .... your Big Snowbird has 3 scapes and will probably have it's first bloom tomorrow or Tuesday. It will be my very first daylily bloom of this season. Amazing!!!! THANK YOU again for that beautiful daylily.

I received an email back from Cheryl Day and she has only Antique Rose. She sold all of Joie de Vivre. She is very reasonably priced, but for the postage, I'd rather get 2 plants, not one. So haven't made up my mind what I am going to do. I really wanted Joie de Vivre, too.

Regina - That one sure looks like Joie de Vivre. Do you have any stats on it? Like whether it's evergreen or semi-evergreen, how tall are the scapes, bloom size, etc. ? Has it appeared to be Rust Resistant?

That is the reason I am looking for it .... evergreen and rust resistant.
