Participated in my first daffodil show this weekend and discovered many gorgeous and unusual varieties and met some lovely people. Even won a few ribbons!

Some of those certainly need to be added to the database, beautiful blooms and really great photos, great for ID purposes.

Good to see, many I'm not familiar with. Did you say you got some ribbons? Where was the show?
Next week I plan on attending my first daffodil show. It's in St Louis.

Very interesting. Most of these are not readily available in commerce, but they are beauties. How about some pics of your ribbon winners?

Thanks everyone! I believe I ended up with 5 blue ribbons, didn't expect that being my first show.

The show was right here in Winchester at the high school cafeteria. There is a couple who live here who are very active in the club -they organized most of the show. It's a nice new school and was an excellent venue.

I'll certainly import photos to the database, most of them were unfamiliar to me.

Mantis, I think I got some shots of a couple of my ribbon winners, should be coming to them soon. Wasn't so concerned about getting pictures of them with so many new and unusual varieties diverting my attention Smiling

Great job taking the photos at the show. I agree, "Warm Days" looks AMAZING!

I also like your "Beautiful Eyes" contribution. Very nice.

I have a nice variety of Daffy's, but I am sure they are very common and I don't know their names. Oh well.

Thanks Greg! They welcome folks to bring noid blooms so that the seasoned growers can try to id them. I found out what I thought was Salome that I've had for years, is actually an impostor- mislabeled bulbs are pretty common among Dutch sources. Haven't found out yet if they were able to id it.
