I am just getting started with heirlooms, but am looking forward to growing them and soliciting some great advice from y'all. I'm aiming on bagging, tagging and fermenting my own seed. We'll see how the season shapes up. Planning on wsing mine later this month or early March.

I'm Winter Sowing my tomatoes this year for the first time. Most of mine are Heirloom tomatoes. Would love to participate in this forum to learn more about Heirlooms and which ones will work for me in the PNW. : )

Nice!

I didn't know about the Peron until it was too late for me to start them for this season so please post your thoughts on this variety as the season goes along. I may want to start some for a fall harvest if they show some promise for you.

Thanks,

Dan

Frank,

Have you grown the Red Penna before. I started some last year but lost them all before they had much of a chance to do anything. I didn't buy more seeds for them this year, but I do want to try them again. Maybe in the fall.

Frank, what is the Buckbees New Fifty Day like for size and flavor. I've never heard of it before.

I have only tried the Purple Cherokee and Chocolate Cherry, both I really liked and will do again. I have seeded Oxheart, which I wonder is similar or the same as Bull's Heart. I posted my list on the seed starting cubit

Hi y'all
I mostly grow heirlooms. I do have a few that aren't this year. I posted my list somewhere but can't for the life find it now. LOL I'm still learning my way around. I started 36 varieties. Don't ask me what I'm going to do with all of them. I only have space for about 20. I always plant extra "just in case". All I know is, I can hardly wait for a home grown tomato!

Maybe we should do a what are you growing this year thread? Of course, I have no clue yet...
