Lyle, I LOVE it! I also ordered BC and can't wait -- and especially can't wait to see the results of that cross you're planning! What is the parentage of that spectacular seedling, and are you planning to introduce it at some point? I definitely want one!!!

That should be great too Lyle But I understand Orange is a great clarifier to purples so I am excited about the mention of the 1st. cross of your seedling. I wonder if it would not intensify the color and pattern in it. It is exciting to see what it may do with Ann's white with the purple edge-eye too.

Ah yes, Lyle -- I think that's that absolutely gorgeous orange seedling that I've only seen one picture of before but loved it on sight! Can you tell us the parentage? It's really spectacular -- another one I want!

Your orange baby is totally welllllll I can't think of a word to descibe it that would do it justice!! I'm really into orange this year. I've always loved the oldie that I have that is a triple that's kin to the so called ditch lily. So it's just natural for me to love all the fantastic oranges that have gotten popular lately. In fact, I've just won several on the auction today and I'm tickled orange!

Now Lyle, if you need a grower in NE MS, I'll be happy to send you my address. Beautiful and good luck with it. Blessings, Mona

Thanks for the kind comments and generous offer! Back to Dan Trimmer, who I think is a very talented hybridizer and has brought forth some fabulous daylilies for us to work with. One of my favorite Trimmer intros is WILD CHERRY ROUNDUP also one that Bill Maryott uses a lot in his program. This year’s intro RUFFLED PINK PERFECTION has WCR in its breeding and I would bet this will be an outstanding garden daylily.

I agree WCR has produced some amazing blooms as Pod and Pollen parent. I have not looked at the parentage of his orange ones the last cple years but I bet it is in their background.

I'm also excited about using APACHE SUNRISE. I had it planted in a bed with overhead sprinklers this spring/summer, and that clearly was a mistake -- so I dug it up, potted it up and now have it on my "parents table" for this coming spring/summer. But your orange seedling looks like an even more intense orange color -- really love it!

And now I'll have to look up PUMPKIN PRINCE!

I have pollen from Apache Sunrise I will take to one of the Boundless Beauty Blooms and see if it takes. Not sure if it is good or not. BTW Boundless now has 5 pods on it and another 8 blooms to go. It dropped the smallest buds. I don't want to overload it since it is indoors and like you said it did not work indoors for you. I keep running it around to the sunniest windows all day Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing .

I will check out Pumpkin Prince too.
