Well it's raining and I'm bored, so I'm starting another thread on my favorite eyed daylilies. This will be hard to choose since I like so many eyed cultivars. Enjoy, Please feel free to add your own favorites.

OH HECK!!! It's impossible to pick my favorite Dot. They are all WONDERFUL!!! The "Guy Douglas" one is so very beautiful! I pray that it brings you only great memories everytime you see it. It seems to smile to me, with such a happy smile.

I don't have any of these plants. I would be blessed by any of them. They are all great! Now, if I could only find a way to purchase one of each!!!

Blessings to you Dot. I've missed you being on here the last few weeks. Mona

Dot, you have some outstanding daylilies and your photographs are always gorgeous. I know you have lots more eyed daylilies, but you said these are your favorites. I grow several of these. Space Warp is also one of my favorites - it never has a bad bloom and blooms for such a very long time. I love the colors of Walter Kennedy and Crazy Ivan. Photographs just can't capture their true beauty.

I'll add a few. It is so hard to pick.

I see right now that I may have to boycott this thread or I'm going to get into real trouble with my dh. What wonderful blooms!!! I WANTTTTTT them all. All of them!! Dad gummit! I'm going to have to sell some of my collections from all these years of life. I wonder which would sell best: Hundreds of Coca-Cola Christmas Orniments, Anheuser Bush Christmas Steins, Magazine collections, or some of the hundred and somemore purses that I collected last year??? I'm getting desperate with all the wonderful new plants on the market. The last 2 season has seen some amazing new plants and I seem to love them all. The 2010, 2011 and now the 2012 introductions have caused me to realllly reallly want more daylilies than I've wanted in many years. It seems like they all have these gorgeous eyes, multiple edges and then they had to throw in the etched eyes with patterns!! Dot, I've missed you and now you pop up with these photos that are so beautiful and the daylilies that I love. Ann, you're just as bad. They are all so great!!!!!!

Michele and I and several others are planning a midnight raid on Fred's gardens and it looks like we might as well get the two of you while we are out. If you'll send me a drawing that shows where all these beauties are located in your garden, it sure will make life easier on all of us Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

Thanks for making a cold day so much brighter! Blessings to all, Mona

Mona, sell some and buy a few new ones. Make your garden support itself. I know I'm in big trouble because I have more new ones coming in the spring, more than I have ever ordered before. I have been collecting irises for many years before I got the daylily bug. I sell some irises each spring and the money goes for new daylilies each year now. I also sell daylily seeds to support my habit. Thats how you do it, or at least it works for me, I'm retired with limited funds. We are all collectors of various things.

Oh wow, where do I begin? I just LOVE eyed daylilies.

Ann gorgeous seedlings as always. How do I pick a favorite? I really like the one that looks like God Save the Queen, and the last one.

Fred gorgeous pictures as always. Of yours I like your L Alabama Sunrise the best, the the L Cheesequake is yummy. Love that name by the way. You know for a long time I thought that Lillian was your wifes name, little did I know that it was the town you live in? Your picture of Happy Happy is better than the hybridizers. Very pretty picture of Martin Blondell, I think I remember you having a gorgeous seedling from MB, Anyway you can add me to your fan club also.

Tink,

I just LOVE your Julie Newmar Seedling!!! Thanks for posting it. As you can see I had a very hard time picking a favorite or even favorites, (plural).

I don't do seedlings much, but here is one that I have named for my granddaughter, not registered yet.

Tink, I absolutely love your HALLOWEEN HOCUS POCUS X JULIE NEWMAR seedling! Are you going to register and sell it? Sure hope so!

Everyone's eyed daylilies look so fantastic! Right now I'm having company so I can't take the time to look for mine, but hopefully in a couple of days... I don't have very many that have bloomed, but I do have pictures from my trip to Maryott's and I'll bet I can get some -- I can even think of three or four right off the top of my head!
