Just following the rest of the crowd over here! I need to get outside and get pictures of my blooming lilies. I missed snapping a few before the roofers did a number on them. Just waiting for the newer blooms to open, since the first ones got battered. Learned a new trick in the process, though. One of the stems got completely broken off, so I brought it inside and trimmed it shorter, and popped it in a vase. In no time, the vase had tipped over and spilled water and lilies all over my (cluttered) kitchen table. I pulled a bag of polished stones out of my desk drawer (can't remember what I bought them for, ages ago) and filled the bottom of the vase with rocks. Nice to have a counter-balance to my big, heavy stem of lilies! Thumbs up

Hi Angie! Arrrrrggg, roofers. Those little rocks are handy (and popular with granddaughters, too ). Good use for them.

Centerfold in the center, Landini to the right and the one on the left, I can't remember. One of the Tango's I'm sure. All from our co-op last year.

Here is two of my lilies. I don't know what kind they are.
Can you tell me why the leaves are dying on the lily in the left photo. Oops, I see I broke one of the petals off. The lily to the left of it is nice and healthy looking.

Yes I did. It's beautiful, but they should have stayed with the disc like last year and keep the prices lower - lol. I hate that Proven Winner program. What a waste.

Lynn, is it possible that one lily is sitting in a low lying area, and got quite wet? That's one of the common things that affects lily leaves. It could also be disease, but in your area, where it is quite wet, too much water is often the problem.

We have a very expert lily grower from Oregon, Pardilinum, and I hope she will come over here soon.

Pam, I think the PW program is a waste too. I haven't looked yet to see how much the prices went up. Hopefully not too much. I need some quality time with that catalogue.

I don't think it's very 'green' of Proven Winners to force you to buy a plastic pot, and pay freight for the pots, in addition to paying a royalty and buying the royalty tag.
