Thanks guys. I like to take ones of the entire bed every once and a while to get the whole look. Those were all taken about 9:00 AM here today. The threatened rain held off though, it was just a few drops and then the clouds blew away. We have clear skies and lots of sun right now.
I do still have lots of grass, but I also have two very active kids who like to play in the yard, so I still need to keep the grass. There are also plans to put a pool in later. That was supposed to be last years project, then the economy went south
and disposable income dried up. Perhaps next year?
Everything is early this year, even my Ditch lilies.
Double Cutie 5-5
Edited to say I originally had this labeled as Golliwog until it was pointed out that it could not be that flower. It actually is Ledgewood's Calico Blues (Abajian, 2005)
Another one of Fred's seedlings that I bought a few years ago. The first picture is the accurate one for color. The second was taken with a flash when it was still really dark from the overcast.
HB-16 5-5
Long Stocking 5-5
Lovely Ladybug 5-5
Ming Toy 5-5
Purple Pinwheel 5-5 again
Another repeat: Riot On The Kindergarten Bus 5-5
I just can't get over how nice the scapes are on this one. I would love to have this kind of branching and buds on some of my tiny ones.
This was one of those whose FFO I missed due to the kids school trip.
Roses In Snow 5-5
The same flower as the first two photos above taken with the flash. I think that it looks so much richer in this one.
Wild Horses 5-5 taken first with a flash and then a bit later without one when it got brighter. What a difference it made in the color.
A close-up of the throat.
Winyah Butterfly 5-5 FFO
Winyah Spring Champ 5-5 FFO
And last, not a daylily but ...it is one of my Lily hybrids Salmon Classic
I love the detail that you can get on the close up of these.
