Can't wait any longer for spring so I went outside to take some pictures and was happy to see Sedum rupestre 'Angelina' showed no signs of winter burn. The weather this winter hit -12 below at night with no snow cover.

Hurray! She is sure one tough sedum. It even thrives in our extremely wet winters. I think she can handle just about anything.
Love that winter color.

Treehugger that is great! I'll have to take a photo of my rockery (Angelina growing in shade, it looks quite a bit different!)
Hurray! I tip my hat to you.

Hurray! chickhill, so glad you found your way here. And a great big Welcome! to ATP.

The first photo really does look like Angelina in it coming out of winter colors.
Angelina can be bright yellow in summer. You can see by these photos taken at different times of the year and different growing conditions the color changes it can go through.
How long have you had them?

Hi Chickhill! Welcome!! I totally agree the first photo looks like Angelina. The second photo does not look like Lemon ball/curl
(or at least the one I had didn't look like that, it was a touch more "feathery" almost like an asparagus fern)
It could be one of the other sedum rupestre such as 'Sea Gold' or 'Golden Spruce' 'Solar Spice' but as Lynn said they can look different in different growing conditions. I have a pot of Angelina in full sun and a rockery wall in part shade and they look like different plants (personally I love that about these plants!) But it does make IDing them challenging! Thumbs up

Valleylynn both last summer, both in almost full sun all day (late eve. shade) a few pots away from each other. Both photos taken almost same time.
Thank you all for the welcome Thank You! I tip my hat to you.

Chickhill, I went to a nursery today and all in one flat they had "Angelina" that looked different from one another, and all plants looked just like your photos - the one with more yellow tones and then the one with more reddish tones. I was surprised to see this since they all came from the same source with labels from the same wholesale nursery...its funny Shrug! I'm wondering if over time they'll begin to look more like one another??
I meant to take a photo but by the time I was finished weeding and repotting and whatever else, I was too tired to think about taking pics - my Angelina looks very yellow but that's because its in a shady spot (winter sunny, but summer shady because its under several trees and once they leaf out, it gets quite shady! They and all the other sedum I've planted in this spot love it!
I am surprised because its shady in the summer Hurray!

Welcome! chickhill! We're happy to have you here! 'Angelina' is one of my favorites because it goes through so many changes. Just coming out of a 3 foot pile of snow for the last four months, mine looks pretty good. If I didn't have to climb over a snowbank to get a picture, I would. Rolling on the floor laughing

My Sedum 'Angelina' grows in full sun with almost no shade. When I moved into our new home I found under the lawn nothing but river silt and then crushed gravel and something similar to soil but very little of it. I have incorporated 13 tons of peat to enrich the soil before I began to plant. So mostly everything I plant has a good start with rich soil. My problem is everything is hilly there are no flat areas, so slowly my neighbor will have all my good soil.

Lowe's has flats of many different sedum all mixed together. Of course I bought one, got home and pulled out 6 different ones and potted them up. Looks like more Angelina?, Blue spruce?, Tricolor, the rest I am waiting for them to grow and fill up the pots. Probably be easier to I D with growth. Half popsicle stick for gauge

Chickhill I love buying items with a variety of plants but it drives me nuts when I can't find the right names for them. I love to push the limits on plants and set them outside to see how some of them will fair in my climate. It usually goes like this. IF they survive they become quite prolific or they just die. My houseplant collection is filled with many plants I know can't grow outside but I keep them going anyway.

I agree!! And treehugger I have started buying sedum so that I can keep at least 1 4inch pot going with a tag on it, that way I'll know what is what - I wasn't into labeling until about a year ago, and so I have several sedum that I don't know exactly what it is...especially if they're a couple that look alike...that's a problem!
