Here we are, all together again at our home away from home on ATP.

Are you taking a break and want to make a comment, ask a question, find a forum, a thread, rest and gab a second....this is the place to do that.

This is an open thread for the benefit of all of us who sometimes just need to stop and take a deep breath and talk to someone.

It should save time for those new members who are trying to find their way around and need some directions.

Whatever you are doing here, you are welcome! Hope we can help you make your day be one of peace and love and most of all friendship.

Well, my day is almost over. I am taking a break, getting ready for a glass of wine, checking email, sales and best of all, the threads on ATP. I just needed to drop in and say good night to everyone before I close up shop and spend some time with the family. Hugs to all of you. Lovey dubby

And my day is nearly at a close as well, almost time to hit the kitchen and finally eat some TACOS, after 2 years of waiting. Hurray! Why the long wait? Braces, and I just got 'em off today! nodding Tacos for dinner (and yeah, enchiladas, but those are soft, so they don't count in the celebration), and a Snickers for dessert! Wheee!!

I hope you have a wonderfully peaceful evening JB, and everyone else toooo, and give the family some extra hugs for me please? Group hug

hey, JB, what a great thread!! Hurray! Thumbs up What a great idea to stop and get a glass of wine and relax for a few with my garden friends! :-)

Speedie, a big YAY Hurray! Hurray! on those braces!! Enjoy those tacos and snickers and then let us know how heavenly it was to finally eat them at last!! Smiling

I am enjoying a rare week with DD out of town visiting relatives. A whole week of just slobbing around at home with no one to worry about by myself (after work, of course-- Hilarious! ). It feels really luxurious! Hurray!

Three cheers for "slobbing around"! Rolling on the floor laughing It is a luxurious feeling, huh?

GOOD MORNING all! I tip my hat to you. Hoping everyone had a pleasant night. The tacos and Snickers last night were WONDERFUL. Heeheeheee, sitting there ready to take the first bite of my taco, I looked over at DH and said "Hey, check this out!", then **CHOMP!!** He cheered me on. =) I'm just thankful I only have to wear the retainer at night, that thing feels WEIRD.

Time to take one little peek around the place, then hit the shower to get ready for work. Have a great day everyone. nodding

Morning everyone....just took the jeep to the garage for a complete service and get it ready for winter. I am hoping I do not need new tires. Oh well....less money for plants if I do. nodding

Today is a beautiful day in NJ and my girl is here to clean, so I must get busy and clean the bird cages. I will be back later for lunch break.

Good Morning, you guys!
Need a laugh?
I can't believe I have lived 30 years and worked with plants for 8, and only just saw this video last night.

I just took two hours and visited all the MAG threads. What fun that was. Anyhow, I must go mow grass in the tree fields. We keep every field mowed every two weeks and it looks beautiful especially to our customers who pass by here daily and some actually pick out trees and watch them grow, then they rush in when we open for tagging and put their tags on them. People are so cute and funny about their trees.

Want to see how pretty they look since they are all trimmed and waiting for Christmas? This is a small part of one of our several fields.

Thumb of 2014-08-07/JB/41f609

See you later on today. I am only going to mow for about an hour because I am a bit tired today since my girl was here to clean and I had to do bird cages and take the jeep in and of course exercise my fingers on the ATP threads. Later gang.

They are much bigger than they look. Thanks for the nice comment.

Wine Time and time to relax. There were not many people here today. I can not help but wonder where they all went considering we know you are out there...just so you are well and happy that is all that matters. Hope you come back soon and gab with us here on on other threads.

I am sending happy thoughts your way as I say good night and God Bless you all. Tomorrow!

Oh noes, I missed her by "that much"!! Sad Well, sorry I've been absent.. work and all, ya know how it goes. Got home and HAD to get those frozen chicken breasts in some water to defrost, then dash outside to get my watering done.. then dash back in to get the potatoes in the oven (huff-puff-wheeeeeze), change my clothes into my comfies, peek around here and there online, and now ... it seems I'm late! Blinking

Well, after a wonderful day at work (lots of busyness, revamping the whole front, moving tables, REmoving tables, putting in trees, etc etc, I think I'm ready for a big fat dinner!

I hope y'all have a wonderful evening, see ya on the morrow! Group hug

hey, @Speediebean, I'm still up and awake! Smiling I know how busy that first half an hour at home can be! Would love to hear more about your day at work, Speedie--seems like there's always something interesting going on in your nursery! Smiling

JB, would love to hear more about what it's like to raise the Christmas trees! :-)

Very quiet in the house now with DD gone for the week. I just had a popsicle for dinner! :-o

JB, I really love to hear about and see your Christmas tree farm adventures. Please be sure to share more. Here, I dug up a picture from the second year we cut our own (2007). I was 9 months pregnant at the time! My son August was born on December 19.

It's true that we have funny traditions. Sean and I both wear the same coats every year (in fact, that's the only reason I have that coat anymore) and I wear the same horribly uncomfortable cowboy boots.

It's a special thing you are doing, helping families make lifelong memories!

What wonderful family traditions Typ!! I dunno, that coat looks pretty nice to me, glad you're keeping it! Smiling I love the pic of you 9 months pregnant, how sweet!!

@JB, I'd love to hear more about your tree farming as well. I love that photo, such a lush and beautiful place you have there! Lovey dubby

@Catmint, when I have more time, I'll share more about what we're doing at work.. and when I find the cord to the iPod so I can download the pics I'll share those as well. (where DID I put that darned thing!?) Confused Co-worker T was still working on placement of plants when I left at 4:00 yesterday, so I can't wait to see how it looks when I arrive this morning! Hurray!

Shower time now, y'all have a great day!! I tip my hat to you.

Karen, that is so very cool. You will cherish those moments forever. We have a Mr. Shaky which for us was new a few years ago. You put the tree in it and hold your foot down on a small pad and it shakes all the crap out of the trees. One day a mouse flew out and the customer near died....of course the mouse was in a state of shock. Here is a tree in Mr. Shaky.

We love the tree shaker! My husband tells my kids that they're tickling the tree.
