We used to have a fun "contest" where you could vote what you liked best. Such as garden in shoes vs no shoes. I think Trish organized it. If it's still here, I can't find it. If it's not, I can understand the lack of time. Just miss it. Anyone know?

There was one of those fun contests just last week, I think. It was annuals, Team overwinter vs. Team buy new? Or something like that.

I don't do annuals, so I didn't enter but you're right they are a lot of fun.

Last one I see was 9 months ago. I think they used to be in the ideas? So, then they were easy to spot.

These little Team 'this' or ' that' are just plain fun!

Scroll down on Trish's member page to near the bottom where the ideas are listed. Look for the word 'Team' and you should find most of them. http://garden.org/users/profil...

Maybe you should ask Trish; she would know. Rolling on the floor laughing

I don't think Team This? or Team That? were actually contests but rather fun articles/ideas where members could chime in with their preferences. I'm sure that Trish has her hands full with being "Wife to one, Mom to 7, caretaker of 90 acres and all that dwell there." Lovey dubby

I don't think there would be any objection to someone else submitting a "Team" debate as an article, then Trish could simply approve it and get on with her other activities/chores/obligations/I-can-t-even-imagine...

Well, I just learned that the @ doesn't summon the member if it is the subject line. So, all ya'll were talking about me, and I didn't even realize *Blush*

Indeed, the "team" articles are a lot of fun! I did several of them 2 years ago, then just a few last year.

While Deb is spot on that anyone is welcome to submit one (by all means!), I bet I'll have a few up my sleeve during the winter months!

@Trish! You mean you don't read every word written on wwf in your spare time? Or even while your changing diapers, you could have a tablet right next to the baby. Anyway, thanks for letting me know where @ doesn't work.

Ok, in order to get this thread restarted, i'm suggesting we do a:
I'm all ears!
Team pick the "stuck" seed shell off the seedling versus.....
Team leave the seedling to struggle freeing itself

I seem to be on team pick as i cant leave it alone if its been struggling for 2 days

Team Pick!

I don't know why I'm terrified to touch a rootlet, but I'll try to pluck the seed shell off with tweezers, even though my hands shake enough to uproot the whole seedling.

Drip water on the seed to get it soaked. Most times it will slip right off. BUT, it takes time to let the water drip on the seed to get a drop to stay put for awhile.

Otherwise, use an exacto knife!
