My favorite V is VELVET THRONE (Petit, 2009)
height 28in (71cm), bloom 7in (18.0cm), season M, Rebloom, Semi-Evergreen, Tetraploid, Dark red with a lighter watermark and gold edge. (Ruby Pearl Sullivan × (Electric Red × Prince John)). Mary Gaskins recommended this one to us.

It is registered as rose pink but it is bright pink in my garden. Here is another picture of it in the rain

Hilary, Viola Francois...wow, that one is lovely. Like the dark mascara line on Vivid Butterfly that carries into the edge. Visionary has a very cool pattern!


Grows taller than the 26" registered height for me.


This one is short, registered at 23", pretty and a has been a good parent for Curt.


Nice UF, good branching, hardy, big bloom and tall.


An older double that does very well here, don't think I've ever seen it bloom single....

Do my eyes deceive me Mike, or is that a daylily stuck inside another flower (Moonflower perhaps?). Vineland Luva?.......Always liked Vatican City but could never tell from pictures if it was the same color as Bela Lugosi? More red in Vatican City perhaps.......And Betty, Vivacious Spirit is on my short list. It's still rather expensive for my budget, so what is your take on it? How colorfast is it for instance.......Enquiring minds want to know............Maryl
