A great deal of the fun on ATP is the interaction with other people......no interaction=no fun. Here they are.......

I love the fairy garden planters. One of these days I am going to try making something like that. I know a good number of people were off and busy for sempervivum clinic weekend.

Thank you so much Paul, so glad we didn't have to miss out on this.
It amazes me how talented and creative some people are in making these fairy gardens.
My favorite is the second photo, because of all the little shrub type plantings.

I think with the scope/size of that planting it would be very difficult, if not impossible to highlight the entire thing.
The different levels are intriguing.

My question is, where do you buy these beautiful tiny figurines? I hope these are not the expensive ones in souvenir shops.

I've seen the figures at several nurseries in my area. Fairy Gardens are popular here now. I haven't priced the figures because I don't plan on doing a fairy garden. Fun to see though.

I sort of did one without any of the figures. It's not really my sort of thing(but sadly, I had the broken pot), and doing it gave me an appreciation of how much effort it takes to build one. Mine is doing okay except the squirrels have eaten off one of the Portulacaria afra 'Spekboom' aka Elephant Bush seen on the right side here. I'm not sure what to do about that. Everything else has managed to grow some since this photo was taken. I posted a photo of it before, but here is another.

This is not exactly fairy garden but I have critters and a gnome in this new container succulent (the middle plant is plumeria with inflo).
