Ah, the aggravation of waiting two years for a bloom, and having it be wrong!

This was supposed to be 'California Gold'.. It's a lovely white (planted next to warm colors)... I"m thinking maybe purissima...

I've procured Iris for a friend of mine from our sales, and also divided many of mine for her.. The only one that I have that's close is Conjuration, but her's has no horns..

Every iris you see is a NoID. I'll have some purchased misnamed ones sent to the hill this year.

Ok Rob, you win in the NOid category Hilarious!

So, regarding my white... it's got PBF, which I can't find any reference to 'Purissima' having that.. Does yours have PBF, Arlyn?

All those NoIDs were gifted to us by a hybridizer 20-25 years ago (may she rest in peace). This morning, one of the light blues was identified as "Blue Sapphire" and another iris was identified as "Indian Chief".

Some on the irises are still in the same place they were planted 20-25 years ago. I'm digging some up every year. Those blooming beds closest to the camera were replanted in October.

Autumn Thunder is a beauty, but it's too young to be one of those. Thank you for pointing that one out. Thumbs up

I have a white NoID with pbf too. However, mine has those tiger lines near the beards.

I also have a NOID white that has PBF and a few tiger lines near the beard and a white/yellow beard. It is prolific and hardy. Love it! Wish I knew the name.

The early registration didn't note the foliage, I think. Even in 1991 we forgot to note it for the M/TB 'Billie the Brownie' registration.

Rob, go ahead and post some of your NOIDS.. We all love a good mystery. The bitone on the right reminds me of Alcazar, but I think yours is more modern.. have you ruled out Hello Darkness for your purple? I'd like to see that one closer up... Nice looking hedge of Agaves... Don't bend over with your back turned to them (she says from experience) Sticking tongue out

Yep, I don't have them in my garden for that very reason.. Back in the '70's, someone convinced me that if I had a succulent garden, I should have Century Plants, and he happily provided me with pups... They grew very quickly and got in my way..(several times... I'm a slow learner) I don't remember if I dug them out or just moved..

Thought this one might be Copper Classic (based on purchase records), but I am now mostly sure this one is Terra Rosa. Not sure enough to put the photographs in the database(!), just 99.9999% sure enough for my plant list. Hilarious!
