| I bet they have a lot of snow up there and they stay too wet. Thank God we don't get much snow here. I would be wrecking constantly! |

| I am very close to zone 5. On top of the mountain in between 3 lakes so get lots of wind. So conditions are harsher then most zone 6 areas. As far as Oranges and Lemons has it overwintered for anyone. Have seen a few comments about it not making it. |

| This was the first year that we did not. Most years snow covered from Jan till spring. But last year was very wet with over 90 inches of rain. |

New Question, How big are the slugs? "...See how the lilies of the field grow....not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these." (Matthew 6:28)
And remember: Money talks.... but Chocolate SINGS!!! |

| I get them but not that bad. |

That's good news, I was talking to somebody from Washington State and she fed one four inches long to her chickens this morning. She said they fought over it. Yuck. "...See how the lilies of the field grow....not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these." (Matthew 6:28)

I stepped on one of those suckers before and I never will forget how gross that felt on my toes. YIKES! |

We need to ask Dave for an emoticon for "UCKYYYYY" LOL |

For sure!! "...See how the lilies of the field grow....not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these." (Matthew 6:28)

I am not sure they could make an emoticon that would capture that feeling! |
|
|
| I wish they could come up with an emoticon for my reaction to Japanese beetles on a rose. I tend to get very angry when they show up. |

|
| LOL. That looks like me yesterday! |

| We do indeed get snow up here but it is not often consistent thru the winter we lose the snow and have freeze/thaw cycles. The bed I plan on putting them in is raised and has a bit of gravel mixed in the soil which gives excellent drainage. There are already some rudbeckias, a white daisy unsure of what it is, some coneflowers and daylilies which all do fine over winter. By the way the soil in this bed is usually on the dry side. | Sounds good to me. Save seeds to and you'll be set. |
|
|
| I will save seeds just in case they need to be reseeded. I have on their way Arizona Sun, Oranges & Lemons and Tokajer so at least I will have a variety. Betty MN Zone4 |

| Awesome. I have been getting seeds from Swallowtail Seeds. They have a good selection. |

I started Gallardia from seed last year; it did overwinter, but winter last wasn't much of a winter here.

Nothing that's been done can ever be changed. |
