Thread OP

I have been slowly working on some deck plants, and one thing I have is a group of herbs in pots. I was doing great, had parsley, dill, basil and chives...until this morning. I came out onto the deck, and my chives were literally GONE! No sign of where they came out of the soil, no pieces lying around. Nothing! We did find three brown caterpillar looking things laying on the soil. Any ideas? I read up on cut worms, and it says they eat the base but not necessarily the entire plant. And these plants were perfect yesterday, maybe 6" tall and doing great!

Is there something I can put on the rest of my plants before they all disappear? Confused

Have you thought about covering the container with netting? at least for a little while until whatever is munching on it goes someplace else for dinner? I had to cover some baby bee balm, something is eating it, and I haven't figured out if it is 4 legged or something else dining on it ~Jan
