At this moment it does look more like mites, but keep an eye on it. Try Bayer 3 in 1 Rose and flower care.

Does not look like any of the aster yellows pictures I have seen. If it is mites you can just get some of the
Bayer 3n1.

I don't know, the half green cones looks suspect to me. The foliage looks kind of yellow, too. I'd watch it carefully for sure. I think it's sometimes easier to diagnose in older blossoms.

Thanks all. This plant was one of two pots purchased a month ago which has 2 or 3 "growth points". It's just this one growth point that has the problems. I should have noted that, sorry. I'll try the 3n1 and keep tabs. Don't mind tossing the "growth point" or the whole thing though.

It could be mites causing this too.

I had the same thing happen to me. I thought maybe the seedsman got a few seeds mioxed up. The plant was healthy and green. Kept waiting and waiting for it to color but it remained green. I thought to myself why in the world would anyone want a flower with green petals let alone a seed company trying to sell such a thing. Well I riped it out after nursing it from a seedling. Glad to find out it was a disease and not a variety.

Most of my plants are cut back for the year, Leaves are already changing color and starting to fall. No more planting other then a Hydrangea Tree I bought for clearance for $10 Reg. $ 60 so I could not resist. And when bulbs go on sale I will get some more.
