I just love the banners which intrigue as this one does. I had to look up Betony and then was lead to search two more new terms.
Hurray! Hurray!
Woundwort - plants used for treating wounds

and inflorescence - as I understand it from wikipedia -- An inflorescence is a group or cluster of flowers arranged on a stem that is composed of a main branch or a complicated arrangement of branches. The flowers carry the seeds.

I am sure my understanding will be enhanced as I study further.

Whatever it is it sure is pretty, Chelle Thumbs up Thumbs up

Thank you!

I understand it to be a cousin to Lamb's Ears, but it doesn't have the same invasive nature. Smiling I'm really glad I tried it! It's one of those wonderful *no care required* plants. Hurray!

Now, I want more of it. Hilarious!

Here it is in my sunny garden. Big Grin

Beautiful banner, and I love seeing the whole picture above, too! I like stopping by this forum to see if the photographer posted the original they cropped the banner from. Neat to see the artistry in how they selected the strip for the banner!

I just recently noticed and thought the same thing, Angie. It's really neat to see the whole picture. The previous picture isn't the one I cropped from, but it shows the whole plant better, IMHO. Big Grin

The one I cropped from had a neat play of light in it.......found it! I believe it's this one. Smiling
