I have finally got a yard (working on it) and am hoping to get some starts from my past loyal customers of any of my lilies (I won't and have not gotten anything out of my ex - and by now all the lilies are dead or worse).
I cannot afford much, can certainly pay postage! And I am now in a miserable place where it gets very cold in winter, I have a basement to store things and plan to spring plant here since survival may be an issue with fall planting.
Since I have nothing but Momentous (given to me as bubils) any lilies (species, Asiatics Trumpets- anything) you may have as extra or baby bulbs - even scales would be appreciated.
here is a photo of my house, it has a very large, fenced back yard, but it is barren of plants.

Hi Lisa, glad to see your post; at least I now know you are alive and kicking!

I'm not sure I have anything that would grow in your cold zone. Probably too cold for L. pitkinense? That one has done very well for me and is dividable. I also have seedlings from crosses with pitkinense and pardalinum. I also started seeds for L. henryi var. citrinum earlier this spring and have a few bulblets going. I still have a number of Stunnings; what a great and beautiful lily that one is! I also have bulbils on Pink Champagne, an older cultivar I believe.

I'm afraid I have lost a lot of lilies from seasonal flooding out back. Last winter was particularly bad with all the rain we had.

Doesn't Dee have some of your material at her place? I visited last fall but haven't been back.

Thank you all! Yes I would take anything but bulbs and bulblets would be best, I am in spokane, and the growing season is short so seeds may not gt very big in one season. I already have some of those (too many) in my freezer. I won't know if Pitkins will grow here until I try. I would like to try since my last breeding project was with American species and Pitkin was my best breeder. There are things growing here I didn't expect would survive and I know they had a killer freeze early in Dec. 2010, so did I in oregon.

So Connie I would really like to have some pitkin and citrinum, and Stunning and Pink champagne!
I will take even little ones and store them in the basement or basement fridge until spring, I plan to plant in spring here for now since I do not trust the weather!

I am getting some Iris from Dee, (blacks and pinks) she offered for years and I was always too busy with bulb harvest myself to take any iris, this winter I will ask what she has of my lilies. I know she is very busy this time of year.

I am getting the windows trimmed now and have almost (need to add a ramp and a few trim things) finished the porch floor so more pics will come soon. Since I NEVER have time to sit on my porch I decorated it with plants. I couldn't let all that space go to waste, but it is due to be painted and stuff so I will probably have to move them.

My sister died in May and I have inherited her cats, one is quite neurotic (raised in a cage from birth) the other is just a pill! She is a terrible dare devil and wants to chase dogs! My sister never let them out so they are discovering new things and I am getting grayer. They are a great blessing and comfort to me now.

I don't spend much time on the computer these days - I have a lot of house to repair, but will try to check every day.

So good to hear you are getting settled in a new place and will have land to grow things. I will be glad to share some Fire King, Champayne, Stunning, King Kong and PYC. Are Plum Peach and Lemon Sauce yours too? I also have Star Burst, but they are such tiny bulbs I'm worried about moving them. May just move them to a better location this fall and if they grow better will share some with you sometime.

Sorry to hear about your sister. Glad her cats have found a new home with you. They make great gardening helpers or so my 3 try to tell me.

It has been a bad growing season here, but I have managed to keep things alive so far Your house is shaping up already. And I bet all of what I have here will survive your winter in Spokane.

Those Dwarf White seeds you sent me this last spring are growing like 'gandbusters'--lots of them. I've still got extra seed in the freezer. In fact, I had good luck with all the stuff I got from you on that seed website.

Most of my stuff I like to refer to as 'homemade' but I've been known to have a few commercials around here too, which I move around or do periodic partial lifting to keep some shorter and usually have extras every fall. I'll put together a list and send it to you this fall--like Sept. Then you can pick and choose because I have a feeling with a group like this, your're going to have your place filled up 'quicker than quick'

yes Susan those were all mine, but for Starburst. That was one Judith bred many, many years ago and gave to someone else to sell, they no longer carry it either. It can be rather wimpy but has done best for me when in the landscape rather than in a production bed. Perhaps it prefers competition? Or maybe more water than the lily beds got.
Here is a more recent photo of my porch, still not done with it, but the window trim and floor are new so I decorated it with some plants. The posts will be white someday and a ramp & handrail will be added for my father, he doesn't do steps so well anymore.

Any chance you might also like some perennials to go in the front of the house? I have some neat new ones.

Oh yes, perennials and daffodils! Did I mention is has a large, fenced EMPTY back yard? I have to have some dirt moved away from the shop, the idiots (former tenants) added onto it a SUNK the building. I do have a very large pile of mulch, had some trees removed and got some extra chip since I seem to have started a frenzy of tree removal in the neighborhood.
So anything you have to spare will be much appreciated, and perennials in the spring would be best, I am in zone 5 now and it was mild last winter, never got below 10, so I expect that it will be horrible this winter. I remember some sudden, very hard freezes without snow when I was a child here.
And any lilies will be much wanted, named or not!
Sorry it has been a couple of days since I have been here. I have been busy and it has been hot. The porch is even more changed now but I moved most of the plants for the work and painting needs to be done. The underside of the porch will be white so it will be brighter inside the house, the porch is 8 feet wide and blocks much of the sun, which is fine when it is so hot but not so nice when it is cloudy out. Once it is done I will take another photo. I did start some black hollyhock in front of it and plan to put the white lattice down in front, under the porch deck. there will be a half circle planting area in front but I need a driveway through the front so Dad can park right in front. There was a horrible nasty Locust tree out there which I had the stump ground but it is not dead yet and even though I keep nuking the suckers I don't know if I can get it totally killed this year.
I do have a flower bed on either side out front. one is shady and one is hot. Both are fairly empty. There is one nice shrub in the sunny one and nobody knows what it is. Except for a couple of other mystery shrubs, lilac, one scraggly Oregon Grape and @#$%roses!@#$ everything else was dead, except for the trees I had removed. I still have some Norway maple, they are for shade and will not fall on my house.
I got a few things from the neighbor when she had her sewer hooked up and another has abandoned her house to foreclosure and I can have her plants left in her yard, but am hoping they take awhile to list it since I can't move much this time of year. I did get some Iris but I really want those peonies and clematis and hope I can get them in the fall.
