Beautiful, Lee Anne! I miss growing Episcia's and that is a beauty! I think my Aeschynanthus Black Pagoda bit the dust in the cold this winter.

I have a noid Orchid in bloom

I have so much cleaning and sorting to do with all the many plants crammed onto the back porch for the past couple of months of cold weather. I was lurking around out there earlier and noticed blooms on a begonia that is crammed in with some other plants.

Hoya australis is in bloom and the fragrance is wonderful! I just can't get a decent picture of the bloom.

Love that Begonia!
Jealous of the Orchids, they hate me!
White flowers are so hard to photograph.

LOL, I used to think Orchids were "special" plants that would only live and thrive for really great gardeners. Mine are neglected! Truly neglected! They are left to dry out so bad that I'm surprised they do survive, but I've been growing them neglectfully for about 15 years now ... the foliage may not look so great but they still bloom pretty. I haven't bought any fancy, expensive orchids though ... mine come from Home Depot and Wal-Mart.

Lee Anne, you sent me some of that Black Pagoda a while back and it is indestructable! And continues to flower despite neglect. It will get an outside vaction this year so it can rejuvinate.

Ohh!
I'm glad it bloomed for you!!
They are wonderful aren't they? The more you ignore them, the better they flower.
I keep mine on the screened in front porch all summer. Bright light with late evening sun and it thrives!

Will the bright light with evening sun work inside too? Or just out?

My bougie also has blooms on it now! hehehe, its so pretty. And I bought a cyclamen back in Late October early November and it's still going strong.

This pic isn't from today, no sun today. Just snow.

No dormancy for the Bougie this year, last year I almost killed it and it didn't bloom till the very end of summer when I had to bring it in. Then it punished me by dropping all its flowers. So I kept going with a little water during the winter. It just sat there doing nothing untill maybe a month ago when all the shoots have started growing again!

ya, that's the problem with letting them go dormant. I almost killed mine a couple of times by not bringing it out when it was ready. Lack of space made it necessary though.

Lee Anne....love your episcia! Back when I lived in Clarence, N.Y. my DS's Godmother gave me one. Came with when we moved to Florida. Managed to keep it alive for awhile, but alas my thumbs were quite black back then. Sure would like to find me another one.
