Have always wanted to visit the Conservatory whenever we are near Golden Gate Park and oftentimes too late to catch it open, and finally this Labor Day weekend we got in early enough. Luckily too it was open on Labor Day as it is usually closed on Mondays.
They have a special exhibit of prehistoric plants ongoing aptly entitled Plantosaurus Rex. Enjoyed so much the highland and lowland tropics display as well as the aquatic ones. Plus it is cooler in San Francisco, just glad to escape our 95F heat for awhile Big Grin

Thanks Marily and Cinda.

Sorry Cinda, I did not have the name of that plant with red berries.

Marilyn, which photo are you referring to? Is it this one?

I saw an earlier picture with a head sticking out of the glass ceiling so am thinking that it is

A T Rex as Cinda suggested. I snipped this so I could show you. Hope that was ok.

Oh you know what, I looked again at the photo, and I think I know now which one you are pointing out. Hilarious! Hilarious! I think that thing by the foot of the T-rex is just some fancy rock sculpture. It sure looks like some kind of dog eh? Hilarious!

Love your photos of the conservatory. How did you keep your camera from fogging-up from the humidity and temp?
What a long strange trip its been

Thanks Doug, I guess it's a fairly short time to focus so it did not get too fogged up while taking photos.
