Any help is appreciated on this species cross between a graptopetalum and sedum.

We do have an entry in the database for Crassula pubescens 'Vera Higgins'. I find no reference for that plant under the name Vera Higgins. Crassula pubescens is also covered in fine cilia, graptosedum is not.

Is this one that we should enter it as Graptopetalum x 'Vera Higgins'? I did try that, but it won't let me make a new entry in the database under that name.

Hi Lynn, I'm seeing all kinds of names out "there" but the RHS DB does list this one as × Graptosedum 'Vera Higgins': http://apps.rhs.org.uk/horticu...
There are 4 x Graptosedum listed, 'Vera Higgins' being the only one they list as accepted. Search "Graptosedum". Shrug!

I tried entering it that way in our ATP database, but get this message: It appears that this genus is not valid. If you are certain that it is a valid genus, please post a message to the Plants Admins requesting that it be added. In the message, please let them know all the fields you entered.

So do you want a new plant entry × Graptosedum 'Vera Higgins' or do you want Crassula pubescens 'Vera Higgins' changed?

Let's change the existing entry, Crassula pubescens 'Vera Higgins', since it isn't a correct name anyway.
Do we change it to Graptosedum 'Vera Higgins'?

Hi Lynn,
It's done. Graptosedum (XGraptosedum 'Bronze')

I found this on the ICN http://crassulaceae.net/xgrapt...
Do a Ctrl + F for Vera Higgins.

Today at a Home Depot, in the houseplant section, I bought a Graptosedum Alpenglow "Vera Higgins" The grower is : Altman Plants in Vista, CA 92084. It says it has a reddish glow, hence the name Alpenglow. Vera Higgins was a person 1892 - 1968, who was instrumental in the early Rock Garden Societies, and authored a book, published in 1964. At least that's what my goggle search told me Smiling

Hurray! What a wonderful find Diana.
Diana you can earn acorns by adding that information to the database Graptosedum (XGraptosedum 'Bronze')
Towards the bottom of the page click on 'Post a comment'. Just copy what your wrote in your above post and paste it into the comment box.

You can also click on 'Edit data details' and earn another acorn by filling in the information for that plant. Hurray!

Acorns are ATP treasure. Big Grin
