Great show, Ursula. My favorite would have to be that wonderful Gongora. Very nice, all of them.
Have to love the purpurata alba, Bree. I know the fragrance is delightful.
Out in the OC, Epidendrum ciliare is blooming nicely.
Den. antennatum is one of my largest species orchids:
Epi. Lime Drop X Epi. schomburgkii is blooming away.
Dendrobium Chan Chao has filled out her spike.
Yet more new blooms on Lc. George Baldwin X C. Trithena. What an incredible orchid!
Slc. India Rose Sherwood is blooming again. She has long roots like a Vanda and seems to want to bloom twice a year. I included a plant picture.
Bc. Maikai 'Spotted Star' is just covered with blooms.
Potinara Hoku Gem 'Freckles' has put out a new spike and the first bud has just opened.
Schomburgkia undulata got my attention when it put up a 7 foot spike two years ago. Last year I got nothing but this year it has three spikes, each over three feet long and growing. It will be interesting to see how tall they get. I don't expect blooms soon as it takes time for them to grow these tall spikes.
Here is one I really like, Brassolaelia Memoria Bernice Foster.
Out in a big pot by an oak tree is Cym Milton Carpenter 'Everglades Gold'. It's the first Cym I've had in bloom in a while.
That's it for now, Have a good evening.

Elaine, I've had that Cym for several years and it has bloomerd as early as September and as late as December so it is pretty much on time. I have several others that bloom in March.
I think the orchids are happy because the weather has been just wonderful. We have had low humidity and highs around 80. We could use a rain shower or two mainly to water the lawn and fill the rain barrel.

I think that Cym is going on my Wish List. So great to have something come into bloom at this time of year when most of the garden is going dormant. Is it fragrant, Jim? Sadly, they're expensive and hard to come by. You have a real treasure there.
I've looked online and at shows for Milton Carpenter's cyms which he bred to be more tolerant of Florida conditions, but not many growers carry them. I even e-mailed Mr. Carpenter himself and he replied that a grower in SC - Carter and Holmes - was the only one he had sold stock to in recent years. They only have two of his hybrids, at big dollars for little plants a year or two at least from blooming.
Here is Vanda Sinlak X Vanda Bitz's Heartthrob. The flowers are still cupped a little but I couldn't wait to show her off. I really like the first picture.

Thanks, guys. Just opening two blooms today with three more large buds at the ready is Blc Annie Belle. She is a big, spreading Catt that I have had for years. I think she scores pretty high on the floof scale, don't you?
