I wanted to add this plant, but I was told it's not a valid name.

In the meantime, the entry seems to have disappeared. What happened? Is this the reason your proposed images had no name, Jonna?

zuzu, I do not understand your question. English is not my mother language, so I might misunderstand you. The P. hirsutus pygmaeus still exists on this site, but the link
Dave posted doesn't work anymore., but this one works: http://garden.org/plants/searc...
I posted 4 pictures, but have to wait if they are approved.

Jonna, the entry for Penstemon hirsutus var. pygmaeus apparently was deleted when the subspecies was listed as a synonym of the species. That's why Dave's link doesn't work any longer.

In the meantime, you probably had proposed four photos for P. hirsutus var. pygmaeus, but when that entry was deleted, the name of the plant for your photos was also deleted and I therefore had to decline your proposed images because they had no plant name included (actually, I approved the first one and then realized it had no name, so I deleted it after approving it). Please propose them again for the P. hirsutus entry.

KentPfeiffer deleted the plant. Not sure why.

He added the name to the P. hirsutus entry as a synonym.

It's a synonym of P. hirsutus. I thought I had cleaned up all of the "not accepted" Penstemon entries in the database, but clearly missed at least one. Sorry about that.

I do not agree that the P. hirsutus is the same as P. hirsutus pygmaeus. There is a big difference in hight. The P. hirsutus grows upright and can reach about 25 inch. Mine
grows only 6-8 inch high. The plants are 3 years old now and they still have the same hight as in their first year.

Would you like to use this entry in the database, Jonna?

I just did. I'm in Spain now, so no acces to the details of the plant. Will do that later.
