I mentioned on one of the other threads, how some of my older heuchera were getting all 'turkey necked' and awful looking. A friend that I have swapped heucheras with for several years, sent to me a copy of a video where they talk about these poor heuchs.

I was in the one of my heuchera beds late last week, spreading a new layer of mulch and saw my Stormy Seas. SS was a mess with the turkey necks, so I lifted SS and split out the turkey necked stalks, leaving the largest and the roots intact. I replanted this back where it originally was and sunk the turkey necked stalks into a container. Everything still looks great that I split out.

On the flip side of this - my Frosted Violet is all turkey necked and I haven't gotten to FV yet. Poor FV seems to be struggling and I truly think if I don't do something with FV soon, that I will lose her.

In any event, I am hoping you all find this video as interesting as I did.

Bob - I so agree. I am hoping to get to poor FV this weekend. That whole bed needs some work and I do see areas where I lost some from last year as well. Funny how the weeds never seem to suffer, isn't it?

Thank you Carolyn it was a good video. So far the only one I have had live and grow to get to that point except Palace Purple and Green Spice. Maybe with the new ones I will get to use the info.
