I have 3 or maybe 4 Heuchera's that survived our crazy winter and spring, but I do
know what I did to have them do so.

They are in containers one of which is a plastic pot the other is a foam Urn. I used MG with a little gravel added.

I am still not clear on the water requirements of these plants

If you have a good link on a "How to Grow Heucheras" it would be appreciated.

Thanks that was somewhat helpful especially the culture section.

I tip my hat to you.

Marilyn, the ones that have survived for me were in pots and I have a garden that I discovered was a gravel patio at one. time. It was covered with loose soil that was composted leaves.

I purchased this house as a foreclosure and it had not been cared for many years because of the elderly couple had been put in a home. I thought it was a good shade garden area and when I started digging I realized it was gravel down about a foot.

So this area is rich soil and perfect drainage. If you see my post about growing in pots the soil I am mixing in these pots is my composted leaves and my home made compost. I am trying to plant them in rich soil and ultimate drainage.

Cinta, Thanks, I need to give them a bit of better soil and check the drainage but will keep trying.

I lost Kassandra, MIdnight Rose and Black Currant in the one pot. I am still digging for the labels in the other pot.
