I bought two "dwarf" clematis yesterday, left the tags on the plant for now so I don't know their names. I was wondering if anybody else has been growing these and if they truly are dwarf. The tag said they grow no more than 4 feet high and bloom most of the summer?????? I find tags can be VERY misleading but if anybody has experience sure would love to hear your thoughts on the dwarf clematis.

I have a short one, but wouldn't call it dwarf. Be interested, too, to hear anyone else's experience with them.

I have Clematis Bijou™ in a hanging basket. It didn't grow much this year (neglect) but has several buds, it's maybe a foot tall/long right now. Need to refresh the soil and fertilize it.

Tried to get a picture today but it's pouring rain. Here is an update on this re-blooming dwarf clematis, October 5th and the plant is still no larger than 3 - 4 feet and it is STILL blooming! We have even had frost twice. One flower opened yesterday and there is still two more buds. I don't use any chemical fertilizers in my garden so it isn't from that. I guess this plant does live up to what the label said. VERY pleased with this plant! The pink one I bought with it hasn't done as well but it wasn't a very healthy plant to start with. It has no flowers but the plant has put out some healthy new growth and for now that's more important anyway.

Got a picture! Stopped raining for a bit.

Update on my dwarf clematis. They were the first to bloom in my garden this year (alpina didn't bloom Sad ) and is just full of buds! It bloomed from June right through to late October last year and is growing like a weed!
