Hello Everyone!!!!

I have missed you all so so much! Ive just been a super busy girl here the last couple months. I moved into my new house and have been unpacking and gardening every day since. Before I was so worried about having an area to plant my semp bed and now I have it...... (Note: A BIG work in progress)

So many have helped me by sending me semps! Thank you all. I have a lot to update you guys on but here are some pic's of my new semp bed. This bed had at least a few hundred rocks (some boulders) along with weeds that needed to come out before we could do anything with it.

Here is a before pic of the bed...not a great shot but you can kind of see how much crapola was in there that needed to come out...

For the plant markers we used these alluminum paint brushes, took the bristles off, and take a hammer to flatten them out. I used my dad's dymo label maker and attached the names on the markers...

Here are my empty beds and some pic's of my new house. Let me know if you have any idea's of what could go in the beds. Thumbs up Im so super excited to be able to finally plant these. I am still busy unpacking the house and whatnot but I do yard work daily so it should get finished real quick.

The whole backyard was all weeds so we killed those and the just put down the grass seed.

Congrats on your new humble abode, Jackie! Well it was about time you got that growing space you've always wanted!!

Love the size and health of your "Michigandease(?)" Semps!

And just one suggestion for you to try on the new bed or any other bed: DELOSPERMA

You know there's a delosperma thread on the semp forum somewhere to take a gander at!

Thanks for sharing all your good fortune and good endeavors that turned out beautiful with us...and Welcome! to your new HOME!

Great idea Mick. Semps would be great in that stump. Hurray!

Or delosperma. Not sure how it would do growing in a stump?

Some Delosperma are and some are not. Some are one year and not the next. It is a crap shoot. But I winter sowed quite a bit of Stardust. I will put it in several different spots and see what happens.

Looking forward to seeing how it does. Have the seedlings bloomed yet? If so, did they bloom with the same flower as Stardust?

No the seedlings haven't bloomed yet. I have never seen Stardust bloom so I have nothing to compare it to. The seed pack said it was hardy to zone 6. I'm not even sure if it will bloom this year. But it sure is cool looking. Starts out like two fingers in a peace sign!
