Not long, and not much. It came from a trade from Hawaii, 3 dormant bulbs. I hope it's there next year. I thought it would grow faster, it may not like the way the other plants around it have shaded it by now. Sand is splashing on it when it rains, I don't have mulch in that new area yet. Open to critique, if anybody has any!

Tiffany, do you grow Lycoris ? I have some plants but they have never bloomed for me. They are three years old. I don't know if I am doing something wrong.

Hi Tiffany ! I also have Lycoris radiata.
I live in the province of Buenos Aires. We have mild winters here with temperatures that only occasionally drop below freezing.
Temperatures can raise up to 32 or 33 Celsius in Summer.
Do you have any picture of your lycoris?

I got my first bloom from the tuberose and my crinums are blooming. Ceci, I have the L. radiata and they usually bloom in Sept. If you go to the database, you will find photos of the radiata.

Thank you Betsy! September for you is the end of the Summer. It would be March in our Hemisphere.

Cecilia, Lycoris often sulk for a couple of years after they've been planted or moved, so yours may surprise you next year.

I don't seem to have any pics of the Lycoris blooming, that's strange! Will remedy that when they bloom soon!
