Unconventional Plant Ties

Look around. A lot of things can be used as plant ties.

My favorite aid to use are clothes pins. They easily connect the vine in the direction that you want and by the time you return to redirect the next bit of growth, you can just reuse that first pin again (since the plant--given time, wraps around t hold itself)

I like the twist tie idea, but I worry too much about the metal inside them causing damage to my trumpet vine. So what I like to do is twist tie to hold, then tie a piece of yarn. I figure yarn is soft, and won't do too much damage? Smiling Great post, helped me handle this young vine I have growing! Hurray!
