Things are growing and flowering.
The weeds and quack grass are the fastest growers.

Me, too! It's in all my planters and containers, as well! Hate that stuff! It choked out my strawberries back in Oregon. Thumbs down

Some people may consider it edible, but I tried it and as far as I'm concerned, it has NO redeeming social value! Hilarious!

The weeds in general were bad this spring. Summer I dont think quite as bad. We have had wierd weather in northern Mn. It was almost 90 acouply days ago and now it is going to be down to the 40's at night. Very unusual weather. It was a nice spring though for planting grass. We had alot of rain and cooler weather so at least my yard looks nice before the hot/cold came Smiling

I spoke with a master gardener at the NowThen Steam show a few hours ago, and she said, though she is not supposed give brand names, that she has found Fertilome products , non absolute vegetation killer, to be the best for Chickweed and Creeping Charlie.

Postings found on Twin Cities church post boards after Gov. Klink's lock-down ended:

Scouts are saving aluminum cans, bottles and other items to be recycled; proceeds will be used to cripple children.

The ladies Bible Study will be held Thursday morning at 10:00; all ladies are invited to lunch in the Fellowship Hall after the B.S. is done.

The outreach committee has enlisted 25 visitors to make calls on people who are not afflicted with any church.

Ushers will eat latecomers.

Rev. Merriweather spoke briefly much to the delight of the audience.

The pastor will preach his farewell message after which the choir will sing "Break Forth into Joy."

Remember in prayer many who are sick of our church and community.

During the absence of our pastor we enjoyed the rare privelege of hearing a good sermon when J.F. Stubbs took over the pulpit.

The church garage sale will be held this Saturday; this is a good chance to get rid of things not worth keeping.
Bring your husbands.

Weight Watchers will meet in the basement at 7:00 P.M.; please use the large double door side entrance.

Conversation from a doctors office:
The doctor examined a man's wife after she was rushed to the emergency room; the doctor took her husband aside and said: "Sir, I do not like the looks of your wife at all!"
The husband said: "Me either doc, but she's a great cook and really good with the kids!"

I finished relaying the paver stone pad in front of one shed.

Ended up re-cutting , with a stone saw, some bricks as the pattern changed even though I did not change the pattern but while it looks like it was planned by a drunken Irish Man, it looks better than before.

I used Polymeric sand both as a base and as crack filler so it should not move or sand be washed out of the cracks and it is supposed to be good for stopping weeds. (Though on another side walk I found it does not stop ants from digging holes in it. Thank You! Blinking I tip my hat to you.
