The second peach tree is just before the harvest. It is a yellow-fleshed and very aromatic variety. Since I am already looking forward to the harvest. About 5 weeks ago I had a lot of fruits of a white-fleshed variety. But this matured within a week and all were almost ripe at the same time. Since I had to process 40 pounds of fruit within a week.

Beautiful. Its peach season here too. Too much late spring and summer rain has made the fruit a bit bland and meat id soft.

For us it was too cold and wet too long, so that all the peaches got leaf curl disease (by the fungus Taphrina deformans). After I had put chopped banana peels around the tree trunk, the tree was healthy again. Unfortunately a little late. But it helped ...

Fruits that I had harvested yesterday. Three of the varieties are seedless.

Love custard apple Jim! I only get to eat that when I go home to the Philippines! Sweet and many many seeds! Lucky you! We call that fruit "Atis", growing up we call it as sugar apple. Smiling

Cinda, gotta be over the sink or outside Hilarious! lots and lots of seeds (think watermelon) But well worth the effort it is the sweetest of fruits, and not a bad looking tree either.
Now, if only some one could tell me how to safely know when a Black Sapote is ripe, and how to prevent gastric disasters if eaten too soon. Tarv, hey your in zone 9b, I bet you could grow one if you could find one at a local nursery Aw shucks, the card on my camera is filled, can't take a picture. Maybe next time..

WOW you have great progress in fruit plants. I like them but some are strange to me and never see them or tasted them before. Anyhow thanks for sharing the photos of your fruit plants.
If at first you don’t succeed, call it version 1.0
