Happy Labor Day you all. Can not believe it is Sept. already.

The weather here in Wrightstown, NJ is extremely humid and in the low 80s and it is only 10:45 AM. The calm before the storms.

We are under a severe Thunderstorm Warning and the storm is located in the Southern part of the State heading NE with 60 MPH winds. I hope all of you in that area are o.k I have a weather radio (broadcasts from Mt. Holly, NJ) that just keeps coming up with all this happy news. So much for the picnic this afternoon....it will be inside for sure.

We had a thread on another site that we all shared the weather in our areas. If you like that idea, feel free to keep this going. I worry about my online friends this time of year when the storms seem to get worse and the coastal storms keep popping up.

Happy Labor Day!!!!! North Jersey weather currently 78 degrees and oh so humid. Light drizzle, dark skies. The air is so thick you could cut it with a knife. Indoor day for sure. Perfect day for some pasta & homemade tomato sauce with fresh basil an a side of fresh picked cucumbers.

Never got the storm. The humidity is still really high, we had some sun and some rain but nothing like our neighbors in PA and parts of NJ. We got lucky this time. We had our lobster, clams, shrimp, crabs, and steak and we set it up in the barn in case it rained. The barn was cool and the mess was not in the house. What a fun day with the family and friends. I am stuffed and after a glass of wine I am going to go to bed. Have plants to ship tomorrow so I hope the heat goes away overnight so those poor plants make it to their destinations without too much stress. See you all in the morning. Nite. Group hug

Allison same here. That thunder shook the house. The only animal in the house not freaking out
was Zeth who was nicely nestled under the covers.

Humidity finally dropped this afternoon....hopefully this week will get cooler with lower humidity, I need to weed

Morning everyone, the humidity is gone, thank the Lord. I am so sick of that sticky crap and it drains me when i work in the greenhouse or even feed the outside animals. Speaking of which, now four of the neighbors 7 chickens are mine to feed and water since they hopped the fence and can not figure out how to get back. They can but they like my big arborvitae and sleep under it or up in it at night instead of their coop next door. The cat sleeps with them. Funny sight. There are a few game hens mixed in and they keep the cat from getting too friendly. She is just a tiny little black female who is a real survivor feral I rescued and kept as a barn cat.

Jennifer do you have a Roebling Bank in your area? They have merged with a Newtown, Pa, 3rd Fed Bank and their rates are horrible. I kept my business account in the Roebling bank but I am moving it today because I refuse to pay the stupid extra charges they are going to charge if the balance get down below $100. I never watch the balance before because of the no charge and I use that as a backup for Paypal and sometimes I spend and forget to mark it down and the balance goes to 60 or 70 and I will be paying penalties all the time if that is the case. I do not keep much in the account in case of fraud online. Now I am in a pickle, not sure where to put the tiny account. Oh well, just another day in NJ. Blinking

Sorry for the off topic here, just my way of trying to think things through by bouncing them off others. No big deal, I will close the two accounts in that bank and put it in my other bank for now. Drattttt it.

Weather is great, cool, sunny, NO HUMIDITY. See you later . Group hug

bank fees annoy me! I have my son's $ from when he was born in Wells Fargo I never touch it, have to send a letter every year telling them I am still alive and to keep the account open and not to turn it over to the state....so annoying

the closest Roebling is the 1 in New Egypt(20 mins from me)

That is the bank i go to Jen. It is just 3 miles from my house. Anyhow, I got there and I have known the manager who is now stepping down to part time because of health, was not there and the new manager talked to me about my accounts. She explained that mine would have NO service fees since I have one that they did for people over 50 and that one has free everything plus they are going to add interest to it. So, I left there feeling better and did not close out the accounts. We will see, if that is not the case, I will go back for sure. Rolling on the floor laughing
