There is a discussion about a coleus Bonsai in the Container forum that is very interesting. Did not want anyone to miss this one. If you have not seen it yet.
It might be a little difficult for us snowbirds but I did keep one coleus for 2 years not from cuttings but the original plant.
I have seen instructions of how to grow a Coleus Standard. That would be a coleus trained to have a thick truck with the foliage at the top. Which involved keeping the original plant for a few years and cutting the off shoots leaving the top of the plant grow bushy.
Something different that I am considering to play with this winter.
David is a great container gardener/designer that is very interesting IMO.
