Hi! I have these hardy sedums dotted all around my yard. The previous owner did give me a map but it just says "tall sedum" for these. ID please?

Hi there Terri. Welcome!
It looks like it could be Sedum 'Autumn Joy', which has changed name to Hylotelephium spectabile 'Autumn Joy'.
Sedum (Hylotelephium spectabile 'Herbstfreude')

It will go dormant over winter and re-emerge in the spring. Like this photo.

I leave the dead stalks until I see the new foliage pushing up through the soil. That way I know where it is, and won't damage it while weeding. The dead foliage also can provide some winter protection for the underground parts, and some of the smaller birds and other wildlife will feed off of the seed.

Nice plant you have. Thumbs up

Hurray!
If they have been there for quite some years, they are more than likely 'Autumn Joy'. It has been a favorite of sedum lovers for many years.

No telling how long they've been there, but that's a good name for them!

Yes. There are some low-to-the-ground sedums, and an old stump with Sempervivum all over it. I haven't taken a picture of the low sedums yet.

Well, the photo I just finally got off my camera is blurry. *Blush* But maybe some of you can still recognize what kind of creeping sedum this is...

Hi Terri. That is a very healthy looking plant. That particular sedum now goes under the Genus: Phidemus, and looks to be one of the great Phidemus spurius.
Here is a page filled with different ones. Come spring time we might be able to identify which one it is. Did it come with a name?

No, the previous owner of the house did leave me a diagram of the plantings but only put common names, not even cultivars.

Thanks for the link! Thumbs up

p.s. Of all those photos, the "John Creech" looks most like mine, I think.

It is difficult to tell some of them apart this time of year. We'll see what happens this coming spring. Thumbs up
