I'm thinking about trying this plant. Any advice for a first-timer? Do they like heat, or just tolerate it? Will they flop if they're not in full sun all day?

Any experiences shared are welcomed. Smiling

Chelle,
I winter sowed Fortress Mix and Sunset Mix. I had about 40% germination. All mine were planted in full sun. I will definitely grow them again! They are one of my favorites. They like the heat

I had good germination, although not sure of a percentage. I have grown this several times and I love it. A couple of times, when it was planted near the house, it over wintered for me a few years.

Oops I forgot I split seeds with my mom. I had much better germination than 40%!

This was a good plant for wintersowing.
I have not grown it for a few years, but well worth the effort which is minimal.

Thanks! Thumbs up

I need some tough annuals that grow really fast and love heat since our season changes are usually so abrupt. I think I'll try it! nodding
