DH reconfigured this found-at-curb bed frame in under 2 hours. Needs a cushion. Anyone else have any repurposed benches?

Excellent use of a roadside find!

I've seen quite a few bed benches on the web. I have an old (not antique) Jenny Lind style bed that would make a great bench for the front porch. Would be better yet to make it a rocker but that might be beyond my limited woodworking skills...

Thanks, I'll pass it on! DH looked at lots of pics and plans before he started working on that. If you look for folks making rockers, you might find the visual info you need.

Keep an eye out for the old style cribs. The ones that have the rods on the sides that the side of the crib where you could raise and lower the side. These are no longer legal to sell ( at least in Florida) so you might run across them, they make good "loveseat" size benches.

Just came across this thread, Tiffany. I love the bed frame bench. I have seen these on the internet. Maybe some day I will get around to making one. My DH is not much of a wood worker. Thanks for sharing you DH's creation.

TY. Glad you like it! There's a lot of websites (and prob videos) about doing this, several diff styles to choose. DH looked at a bunch before doing this.
