Holding at 36 here. See no indications of frost out on the lawn. I forgot to open the heat vents out on the Sun Porch so it is a bit chilly out there.

Wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving.

Its 36 here too. I don't think anything was affected. That is something else to be thankful for today!

Thanksgiving is a good thing! Have a peaceful one and gobble well...

Good Morning!

Good morning!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!

Our first frost of the season here this morning. Presently 34.9. The thermometer is in the carport though on the outer wall of the garage. Lake City weather says it's 30.0.

We seem to have bottomed out at 51. Just was outside for some weeding and spreading of mulch and boy - it feels like winter! Whistling

I'd like to add: Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Same from here, our low was about 45, so no damages and the little temp gauge inside the covered shelf units says 55 so that is pretty nice for the orchids that had to stay outside.

Our friends from Canada are flying today, arriving this evening in time for a late dinner, so our turkey feast will be around 8pm. We should all sleep well, in any case.

Enjoy everyone! I am giving thanks for all my nice online friends, and beautiful Florida weather. I tip my hat to you.

Trying to get caught up here. The trip to GA was great. It's always good when we can spend time with the kids. DIL and I spent time beading together and also visiting the local bead stores. DH and son also had some time together and the four of us had dinner at The Oar House in Dahlonega. All of us left stuffed!

The trip back to Hot Springs Village on Monday was somewhat of a challenge. We kept watching the temperature as it dropped into the 30s, and a couple of times it reached 31, but we were lucky and got back without having to encounter slippery roads.

@flaflwrgrl yes, we do travel up I-75 on our way back to AR or GA.

Our next adventure will be traveling by car to Arizona to spend time with our kids at Christmas. @plantladylin, My DH does most of the driving, too, however, once in awhile he does let me drive in Mississippi. It's a 4-lane highway with little traffic. I don't do Interstates or cities!

We won't be getting back to FL until about the middle of January so I suppose by that time anything that is going to get killed will be long gone. We have some phaius in pots that I am concerned about, but the last time we had freezing temps, they came back.

Oddly enough we don't have any beautyberry on this place. I really want to get some though.

That was a great article @gardenglory (Pam),

Actually I've made Beautyberry Jelly before. @greene was so right in her genious recipe. Thumbs up

Pam, are you still having Heart surgery in January? I've been thinking about that, and hope my prayers and best wishes for you are heard and granted.

Sincerely,

David Smiling
