I couldnt help myself and started to create the combos.
These are bot written in stone but this year I wont use flowering annuals.My daughter buys the ones she wants and when her containers are intermingled with mine on the deck it ia too many blooms if we both use them
A couple of my containers already have perennials in them so I try to fit coleus into the established plants.

I just love those. Foliage makes so much color.

I added a Zone 9 to the deck for the next season.
Semps bought this year and planted in containers,some are finished there is just the rectangle planter to do the coming spring.
I havnt done the combo for it,waiting for Mountaincrest to post their 2014 catalog

Those are wonderful. Wish I could grow Caladiums here but, just to cool in the summer. I only tried once, they did great in the greenhouse but slowly died when put outside. I may try again as this was years ago. Maybe I'm a better garner now. Those are spectacular Jo Anne!!!!! My favorite is #2.

I am a zone lower than you. I plant bulbs in the ground the first week of June when nights are warmer,until then cool nights in the 40's and 50's just retard growth.
Once bulbs are up they grow well and begin to die in September. I try to keep some over winter in the basement but mostly I consider them annuals.
Caladiums 4 Less has the best buys.

Oh wow, just looked. Those are some serious cash for annuals but really make a big impact. I'm a higher zone but we never get the summer temps you have and the nights are mostly cooler. I think we only get a few weeks in the 60's and much more rain.
Maybe, I may find them around here. I think they have them here in the house plant sections.
Really great combos! I just love all foliage combos as they always look good.

Thats why I buy from Caladiums 4 less. His prices are very reasonable. I have a big garden and 3 dollars for a couple of caladiums goes further than 5 dollars for one flowering annuals.
