Happy New Year to all of you. There is not much blooming in my forest of sticks so I will recycle an old picture of multiflorum.

Love the color on that one Doris. Beautiful!

Look what a friend gave me. She doesn't want it anymore and was going to toss it out. She says it is very old. The buds on it are red so I probably already have one the same color. I want to see what is in the pot, but I will probably have to find a way to break it, the pot is concrete and the plant has always been in it. I will probably cut it back if I can get it out of the pot although I'm tempted to let it stay tall and lanky.

getting it out of the pot will be the problem... I'm going to try a big hammer first.

Will that work on concrete? I hope so. I'm waiting for my helper to come on Monday, Oscar can destroy anything Rolling on the floor laughing He's pretty good at putting stuff together again too.

I have done it before, using the screwdriver helps to shatter the pot and not ruin the plant.

Happy New Year to all....here's a photo of my grafted obesum 'Amethyst' that I got from Rinoa earlier this past summer. Adeniums seem to bloom just fine under fluorescent lights--I've got buds showing up on another grafted obesum called 'Classic"

Happy new year, late... Gorgeous flowers, everyone!

Joanna, I'd tie all those lanky limbs way down, below the pot, and have a super droop plant, hahaha! I have one like that, and am planning to do macrame with the limbs. Do let us know what the caudex/roots look like.

Half of my plants are going dormant, never happened before. So I have an evil plan. They are coming out of their pots, going into a pile on a table, bare root, and then to be put gently and loosely wrapped in newspaper -- into boxes as if I was going to mail them some place, which I am not. Then in a few weeks, I will pot them up as if they have just arrived from Thailand or someplace. What the heck am I doing this for??? Newly arrived plants do seem to burst into bloom, maybe these guys will do that! Will post photos eventually.

Jim!! Stay warm!!!

Hello everyone, and a very much belated Happy New Year, sorry I've been away so long, lots of bothersome health issues. I have yet to catch up on the various threads, but what made me jump on today is that I've just now pulled off all the fuzzy s from my "hand pollinated" seed pod, the daddy was a pure white and the momma a fairly deep red, I'll try and find the picture of both if I have time. anyway, here it is in the 60 degrees and I have 98 seeds, I only want to sow maybe 115 or so, I don't know what color they will produce, but if your into caudexes I think that's a guarantee. If anyone wants some (seeds) just mail me and I'll send them.
Thumb of 2014-01-21/jimsned2/893be3 Well, that didn't go very well, the top picture is the female or seed bearer, but the bottom is NOT the daddy, can't find his picture right now. Sorry, I did my best, too many pictures the I forgot to name in my albums, looking for a needle in a haystack.

Fine photos! I really don't need seeds. To have learned how to pollinate, need glasses, was a blessing in disguise? Good to see you here, Jimbo!
