Just thought i would share this picture. Woke up earlier this week and found this little girl was born in the night. By the time we got there mama already had her clean and nursing.

Family decided to name her Petunia.

It has been so amazing seeing her running around and learning. She is the first animal born (besides my daughter who technically was born in the hospital an hour away) on our new place. One of those awesome little reminders that we are on the right path!

I'm not sure what kind of goat. Definitely a pygmy, but other than that I don't know too much. Mama, pebbles, is tan with black around her eyes and a bit of white on her forehead. Dad, mavis, was all black and white with larger horns. We got pebbles and her brother, bam bam, maybe a year ago just as weed eaters then a neighbor down the road gave us mavis and petunia, the baby, was born half a year later Smiling

We had two dwarf kids at one point but they did not survive. We're not sure what happened. My son has since then switched to just Nubians. But the dwarfs are very cute!

Hurray! Petunia sure is a cutie!!

Arlene, those are cute pigmy goats! Is that their house? Or I guess maybe just sleeping quarters. Smiling

Sadly, both pygmy goats did not survive. It was early in my son's efforts to raise goats and they may have had issues when he purchased them. We just on't know.

Yes, that was their house but since then two more larger structures were built.

She's doing great! She is running around all the time and already learning to head butt the chickens trying to get into the goat food (shes learning from her uncle goat). We set up some boxes for her to jump all over and this week we are going to put a few more toys hanging up so she has more stuff to play with. It's really fun just sitting out there and watching her interact with all of the other animals...

Aw, so cute!!!

We are returning from a trip to visit my daughter in MI and stopping in Ohio to pick up a new male goat for my son. I'll try and get some pictures. Hoping he's not too loud for the 10 or so hours in the car!

This little guy is only 2 weeks old. He's all settled down and he is very quiet...for now anyway. Will have to feed him a bit after 1:00 p.m. So i imagine he may get a ut noisy before that.

Cute kids!!

Ten hours in the car with a goat... might seem even longer! Lol! Brought back the memory of a five hour drive with a kitten in the car. That was a LONG drive.
