Hello Everyone,

I know that October is a long time from now, but some people have been asking how to proceed with articles, so I asked Trish and she told me to just submit your articles the regular way, and she will allocate them to the right time and place.

However I think we need to keep track here of what has been submitted so we can avoid duplication. I think it would be good if you post on this thread what you have submitted, not the article itself, but the title and what it is about.
This way we can have a variety of subjects and bounce ideas from each other.

If you have ideas, please share them here, and let us make our special week the best ever! Smiling

I was thinking about composing something that ties in wildflowers and the annual (September) Monarch Migration. I've a lot of pics w/ associated wilds - New England Aster, Goldenrod, Bidens, Maximilian Sunflower, Boneset, ...
Nothing that's been done can ever be changed.

That sounds very good.
I might do one about butterfly larval plants that are native to Texas, but not decided yet. Smiling

I would do something about wildflowers either in my own garden,
or in some Canadian or Alberta location.

I might do one on Callirhoe as I am planning to grow several species,
and if they turn out,---- then could write an article from my experiences.

I've started one on wildflowers in my neighborhood/region (I'm in the SE US and not Canada so that wouldn't be redundant). :)

I'm working on another general article on the importance of wildflowers.

I haven't decided on what to write about but thought I should check in. Smiling Time does go by fast so I will be thinking about it.

Actually, awhile back I had started an article about a Mountain Mint that grows here (Pycnanthemum incanum) so I will probably finish that for wildflower's week. As I was writing the article and waiting for the mountain mint to come back, it didn't due to a very extreme heat wave we had! So I got off track. But I can make the loss part of my article. Smiling

I thought I would bump this thread, since "Natives and Wildflowers Week" is just a few weeks away.
I have already submitted one article on Texas Native Orchids. I am working on one about Hibiscus section Muenchhusia, which are the North American "Hardy Hibiscus".

I just submitted mine but need to remember to ask Dave to fix the photos so that they enlarge. I'm unsure why they don't but I think we used to be able to submit articles using two different templates and one of them didn't allow the photos to enlarge.
